Mortal Kombat trilogy on PS2

is there any problem with playing mortal kombat tirlogy on ps2? I am decided on getting it and playing it while waiting for MK:D...and since another post mentioned that there are compatibility issues, i was wondering how bad these issues are.

well, the only compatable problem is when you defeat shao kahn at the end and it says blah blah wins, shao kahn is no more, you are the mktrilogy champion, it freezes, meaning you cant get into the treasures of kahn or go back.
i dont really know cuz i like to just go through 8 player combat to get an easy treasure so when i get mine i chose then it just skips to the credits (so i dont play it anymore on ps2 just my ps at home)

The game freezes on continue.

Actually, the game freezes when you let the timer count down to 0.
It plays fine.. just don't use the smooth video option as it compresses the textures too much so it creates wierd squares and lines..

It has frozen but not often and mine is an older disc.
