UPDATE June 1 2007
JFCalibur has just released MK: Maelstrom, which is by far the best mortal kombat combo video ever made. The editing flows like a raging river and the combos are like an ocean of godliness. The visual experience leaves you exploding with applause for the awesome audio/visual synch and que (for music beat), kick ass editing effects, and of course the beautiful x264 quality. JFCalibur has refined his style and has cut the action even closer to the combos with his famous FMV splicing that has defined his mark as the top tier of MK combo video authors. MK: Maelstrom features godly, mostly never before seen combos for all 62 characters that focuses COMPLETELY on NORMAL, LEGITIMATE combos. there is some roaringly funny easter egg glitch material towards the end that will have you on the floor and red in the face with laughter and a jaded eye towards Midway Entertainment.
Ultimately, if you are looking for bullshit air cancels or patheticaly retarded free throws or other stupid dumbass glitch/exploit combos, look elsewhere as MK: Maelstrom by JFCalibur is so godly, that it will probobly be the end of combo videos for MK: Armageddon entirely and will serve as the benchmark for all future combo videos for upcomming MK games.
Being so, MK: Mealstrom is typically going to be the last, definitive update for this thread. If another independant combo video author decides to jump into the MK:A scene and does a video, please email me and i will update the thread, but if not then thats all folks. thanks for watching and we hoped you enjoyed the show over the past 8 months. See you next time with MK:8?
Also on a side note, after watching MK: Maelstrom, it should come as no surprise that JFCalibur does indeed hold a Bachelor of Arts in Cinematography from Bob Jones University in South Carolina.

UPDATE MAY 05 2007:
"Quoted from Check: MK Beyond, the 6th full featured MKA combo movie, is released by Check. It features 50 minutes of never before seen combos of all lengths and sizes, and is the longest MKA combo movie ever released. It features great new belltower combos, Nethership combos, Legit Air Cancel combos, and tons of new Ground combos. There are some special never before seen Air Cancels for Characters who were never thought to have any at all, that go beyond what others are capable of doing legimitally, some that go up to 8 air cancels in a row!! The reason for the name Beyond is because is goes beyond what any of the previous 5 movies have ever done, and is the complete package. When it comes to MKA Movies. This is the Official one, with new highs and combos for almost every character, which at this stage of the game, is beyond what anyone thought possible."

Mortal Kombat: Divine is the highest quality MK combo video ever made. It uses the bleeding edge x264 codec with an even higher bittrate than any MK video before. We decided to call it 'Divine' because watching the STUNNING quality is downright a religious experience.
The reason behind it's creation is that, ironically, after the release of the seemingly last MK Armageddon combo video, a WAVE of new combo discoveries were made in all 3 previous gen MK games, MK 5: Deadly Alliance, MK 6: Deception, and MK 7: Armageddon. All of these new discoveries pooled together made enough to create a new video!
Mortal Kombat: Divine has a direct focus on normal, regular combos. All the combos included in Divine were discovered and/or performed by either NukesGoBoom, JFCalibur, and Check. We take our movies very seriously and want our audience to enjoy our shows and have a good time!

Mortal Kombat Evolution is the prequel to MK: Evolved, and is a tribute video for Mortal Kombat 7: Armageddon. It is a combo video by nature, featuring highly developed contemporary juggles as well as creative aerial manuevers and also many wall combos for all of the 62 characters in the game. MK:Evolution has fighter speech as well as music for further enjoyment. There is some oddball material towards the end that is quite funny!
Authors of MK:Evolution:
Check (also author of MK:Destruction, tribute to MK6:Deception)

This is a list by Check of OTGs. combos starting in martial arts: first move in the combo listed is the otg, it's done by only using a certain pop up that recovers fast enough so you can jump instantly (example : Kung Laos F1). combos that start in weapon: 112cs1 = the 1 after the cs is the otg, this is done as low as possible so that you basically do the move on the ground. 112cs113 = 113 is the otg, it's done pretty low to the ground, and you can drop faster by pressing 1111, then doing a combo of your choice (second pop up, dial a combo, etc). characters who have 112cs,11 is done the same way as it is done in martial arts. characters who have 112cs,11, the 11 is the only thing being done close to the ground. the 112 in weapon is always done as high up as possible...some characters who have 112cs1 though, the 112 must be done a little later (Example: Tanyas 112cs1, she must do the 112 a little closer to the ground or Mavados 112 must be done extremly low to the ground)

About Me

are you able to tell me the button combos for any of those? specifically fujins or shinnoks?

0
Thanks for posting and thank you to the people who made this. This took work. Some of those combos are crazy! does this make the game unbalanced since fighters can do that lethal of combos? I mean I know with all the breakers and parrys they'd prolly be hard to pull off on a human player in their entirety but stilll.

you make me jealous nukesgoboom

Whenever Dreemer gets to his PM box at umk.com, we'll get some front page news going. I truly hope that MKO does the same, and lets the MK Team know to check it out as well.

Whenever Dreemer gets to his PM box at umk.com, we'll get some front page news going. I truly hope that MKO does the same, and lets the MK Team know to check it out as well.
UMK3 ftw

Once again another great mk video. sad that there are only a handful. The air cancels were great but Ioved check's original air cancel thing that separates itself from the rest of the combos.
Over the last month or so I have been testing combos and trying to top what ever the highest was for each character. i had a few characters high and then my buddy nukesgoboom would almost always top me by 1% or more.
good times though.
nukes,
great job on the video. i hope someone gives you a lot of money some day so you can use avid or something ritzy to cut videos with. i like the originally and comedy you threw in. It was good to see a cameo from MKDA: Insurrection.
check,
nice job completely "breaking" mka and showing us what the game can offer. broken or not this takes combo hunting to a whole new level. I remember when we only had the two groups: open air or corner trap. Now air combat was great for a third but now we have the two different air cancel glitches that can be mixed and matched with all the combo groups. Even though its only open air, my favorite is the legit 90% sheeva combo. Insane findings man, keep up the good work!
To the fans,
thank you for watching the video. you may be surprised at how long things like this take. For example it took me over 7 minutes straight before i could do an air combo after throwing 3 knives with sareena. Even ermac's 50 took me probably 20-30 minutes before I figured out the timing.
It was kinda humerous to read what people posted as the highest combos possible..and then later we all get blown away by how far some guys can run up that combo % meter. lol. good times.

mksorcerer - all the combos in MKE are done in practice mode, you can see the buttons right there on the screen!
ShaoKahnsBoyfriend - thanks! the unescapable air infinites that about 50 characters have does absolutely make the game unbalanced. now the only way to avoid them is to play boss characters, which also are:
-immune to throws
-immune to special attack launchers (like li mei fd3)
-immune to air combat
-reduced air damage
-other misc. things such as not getting pushed (like meat cleavers 3)
scorpionspupil - LOL! the xbox videos were done by me, the ps2 videos were done by check, the liu kang 56 was done by JFcalibur, as well as the fatality part.
MrSchpfmut- awesome! i uploaded it to google video but it still didnt process yet. so i went ahead and posted it anyway.
Konqrr- glad you were fully satisfied with this one.
JFCalibur88- thank you very much for sending the liu kang 56 and doing such an incredible job with the fatality videos. really carried the ending before the credits there. the only fun i ever had playing mka was with you trying to see who could find the higher regular juggles. thanks for being such a great friend and i hope that you also find a career in a field you enjoy working in!

morcheese87 - its a glitch while style branching in mid air. you need a character that has an unescapable air transition which is almost everyone, take frost for example. do b3 in daggers, jump and do 112, then as you come up for another attack press 113cs44 as fast as you can, and she will drop to the ground almost instantly, just jump up again and do it over and over.
seltzer3 - that is a falling cliffs only glitch, there is a part on that stage where you can sandwich yourself between 2 rocks, and you can do wall infininites over and over with attacks that come out very fast. discovered by Check, this also works in MKdeception.

These combos are an awesome find. They are extremely difficult to do. I just spent 15 minutes trying frost and only got it right once. I don't think the online folks will do these over and over. They are too hard.
The kenshi one is impossible, I can't even get the three punches after the pop up.
Are you sure none of these are faked?

I have an Ultimate named after me now. =D
thanks alot everyone
this thread is going to be updated with lots of information tommorow, you will see, it is going to be very long reads, but you will see.. hopefully itll help people out who are having trouble here
to the people having trouble, let us know the combos you having trouble with and well see if theres anything we can do to help u out
there is going to be a huge commitment in this thread, as i promised the mods i would do if this got stickied, and i plan on fulfilling my commitment
tommorow is just the tip of the iceberg, so much work to do, i just needed a few days to take all this in.
also, there were so many vids left out of the movie, for whatever reason at this point, i do not care, that i plan on releasing because some were actually meant to be in the vid, but somehow didnt make it, i do not know why.
but they will be seen tommorow as well most likely. im going to be working night and day on this thread tommorow, to ensure that the evolution of kombat is finally revealed..
also to be included is the rules for each repetition allowed for each combo, if that even needs to be explained, 1 relaunch, 1 cancel, on second relaunch, no cancels unless theres a wall, which u can cancel into a wall finisher to maximize wall potential. thats basically it right there, but i will go into detail WHY THESE ARE THE RULES, and dont forget them. because characters like sub zero and shang tsung have them even without any air canceling, thats why there is no explanation, the game just follows a certain rule that needs to be stated for people who plan on adding combos to this thread
and yes, there has been 2 new combos found in the past 24 hours that will be added to the second vid being released tommorow, all in all, about 10 combos. but maybe more depending how many more i find missing that were meant to be in the vid *cough* cough* NUKES
thanks to everyone again, JFC your post meant a great deal to me, thank you for the heartspoken words, very intelligent and precise man.
and yes this is by the GREATEST MOVIE EVER, haha
see ya

i think their easy as cake. ive been doin em for a while now.
i never spam 444 like you say to do it. i just 1-1-2-1-1-3-4-cs,jump repeat.
depends on the character. some have multiple ways. like chameleon and kung lao.
(crane)2-jump-1-1-2-cs-1-1-3-4-cs (drops)cs(second cs while dropping)jump-1-1-2-cs-1-1-3-4-cs.....etc
or (sword) 3-jump-1-1-2-1-1-3-4-cs-(drops)cs(second cs while dropping) jump-1-1-2-1-1-3-4-cs...etc
you can even mix between the two.
guys like reiko the kombs are easier as their not as long. df+4-jump-1-1-2-cs-1-1-2-cs--(drops)cs(second cs while dropping) jump-1-1-2-cs-1-1-2-cs...etc.
i can carry them from one end of the screen all the way to the other.

yes they are very easy, thats why its funny to see people calling some of them fakes. they just need to learn
i really wouldnt recommend doing anymore than 2,then land, relaunch somehow, and finishing it the air with a 7 hitter or back on the ground with a 4-7 hitter
but to each their own, every character had to follow the same rule, so this is what i went by. pop up, jump, 112, 113cs4, 112 113cs4, land, pop up or relaunch, jump 1121134. or at the end change 1134 to 113cs4, land, and finish it on the ground. as stated above.
but only way id do a 2 in a row after the second relaunch is on wall, basically just how everything is followed in the vid, every character has the same damage, only a few can relaunch without using a second pop up for much reduced damage, and thats why the need wall comes in, so the stuff they cant relaunch off midscreen, they can use off the wall and jump back up... and its just that simple in terms of rules.
doing pop up and going across the screen with 10 cancels is a straight out inf, same thing as doing, combo free throw combo free throw in mkd across the screen, every game has to have to rules and regulations and i believe the ones ive mentioned are the best way to go to ensure the best damage for everyone. and not get too out of hand
even in MKD, u could do 3 reps: combo, otg, and free throw combo. i
n mka, youre only doing 2: pop up air combo second pop up, air finisher, etc
these are the rules, im pretty sure i did a good job figuring most of it out on my own, i had no real help in making them. youre allowed 2 air throws per air set, if youre able to land then u can start a second repetition and end it there.... theres not much more to it... but to do 8 cancels going across screen is the same thing as doing 8 otgs going across the screen in mkd.
and basically if u dont like it, tough shit, every high level -player has agreed that 3 repititions regarding this game in case is a inf. PERIOD
i will try to go more into depth about it, but i dont think i need to after this post. i made an entire vid, worked my ass off following these rules, and im not gonna have anyone refer to it asa cheap inf vid..
the stuff wasnt hard, but it wasnt easy either, espicially with 60 plus characters.
i think ive made my point
read my PM when u get a chance scorpio.
enjoy the upcoming information tommorow everyone
peace

Hmm?
Damn, that video was freakin' insane. All the combos do work. I can't wait to do 'em on my friends and see the look on their faces, lol. Is it possible to do the infinite air combo with characters like Scorpion and Raiden? Cause those are like my two favorite characters but I don't know the infinite air combo for them, if they have one at all.
