connect to the chatroom using a IRC Chat Client such as mIRC
for Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP or SNAK
for Macs.

Guidelines
Age: You must be at least 13 years old to participate in
The #MortalKombat Online IRC Network. If you are 13 or under, then
please ask your parents permission to visit the chat.
Language: Mild profanity and non-sexual anatomical references are
allowed, but repeated strong profanity, vulgar language, crude, lewd or
explicit sexual references, hate speech, etc. are not allowed.
Sexual Content: There is a difference between affection and vulgarity.
There is also a difference between a discussion of the health or
emotional aspects of sex using appropriate language and more crude
conversations about sex. The former is acceptable, the latter is not.
Personal Attacks: No personal attacks are allowed. "Personal attacks"
are defined as comments that reflect upon the person instead of their
opinion. This includes comments regarding sex, race, or religion.
Identity: No impersonation of other participants, web site owners,
public figures in the MK community (I.E. Ed Boon), or The #MortalKombat Online IRC Network channel hosts is permitted.
Disruptive Behavior: Refrain from "spamming," or "flooding" or the
repeated posting of the same message over and over. Do not transmit or
facilitate distribution of content that is harmful, abusive, racially or
ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, or in a reasonable
person's view, objectionable.
Personal Information: It is not wise to share any personal information
-- phone numbers, e-mail, home address, etc.-- with others on the Chat.
You don't know who may lurking in the chatroom. This is for your
protection! We do not allow anyone to share any personal information
about others.
Advertising: No advertising of any other chatroom is allowed.
Advertising of a Website is permitted but not repeated and continued
posting of it.
Linking Policy: We do not allow linking of our network java chatrooms or
their html code to be used on any other website.
Proper online conduct: Online conduct should be guided by common sense
and basic etiquette. You may be removed from the chatroom if you violate
any of the standards outlined above though most of the time the rules
may be relaxed.
We reserve the right to remove any user at any given time. Persons who
do not follow these rules will be removed from the chatroom and kicked
or banned depending on what the operator chooses. The chat is logged at
all times.
In persistent and severe cases violators will be reported to
CyberGuards.
This website does not tolerate visitor harassment. CyberGuards has the
ability to track your information and will report you to your ISP, your
email provider and any other pertinent internet areas. If necessary,
legal action can and will be pursued.

Basic channel commands
/JOIN #channel Join the specified channel. Example:
"/join #mortalkombat"
/PART Leave a channel or close a private window.
/ME message Tells the current channel or private window with another
user about what you are doing. Example: If your nick is "Bob" you can
type "/me is cleaning" and it will say "* Bob is cleaning" in purple
text.
/MSG nickname message Send a private message to this user without
opening a query window. Example: If the person you want to contact nick
is "Jane" you type "/msg Jane Hello!" they will get a message from you
saying "Hello!".
/WHOIS nickname Shows information about someone. Example: /whois Bob
/NICK nickname Changes your nickname to a new nickname. Example: If your
nick is "Bob" you can type "/nick Bob123" which changes your nick to
"Bob123".
/QUIT This will disconnect you from IRC.
To have a private chat with another user double click on their name in
the user list on the right side of the java chat and a new window will
