Others have said, that... perhaps it's the mustache, because he's definitely grimacing.

Ah, the good ol' fashioned noogie.

Takes me back to the days of Bobby's World.

Yea. The dude kind of looks happy. It's like Kano is giving him a friendly noogie. It's still awesome as usual.

Kano got the Elmer Fudd head in this one.

Haha, I see the Elmer Fudd resemblance. The only thing I do not like about this picture is Green Arrow's left arm. Why would he be holding his bow like that while getting attacked? It looks so stiff and awkward. I think the noogie is kind of boring. I liked when you do things that actually relate to the characters. Green Arrow could of shot an arrow into an apple on Kano's head or Kano could have lazer removed Green Arrow's facial hair or something.

LOL. Your next work of art should be that huge gorilla (i don't know his name) arm wrestling Moloch in a test your might screen. grin

(Erik) Because Kano snuck up on him as he was about to release a shot, though I know it's not apparent. I also figured the nougie would be something right up Kano's alley, that's why I used him instead of someone else.

MaxDam I'd love to do that, though I've used Gorilla Grodd already and I'm trying to keep it to one usage per character, victim or aggressor. Maybe I'll use Doomsday or some other huge character and add in the scorpion cups from that one Karate movie back in the day.

That is unfortunate. Now I am going to be thinking this everytime I see one of your arts: "Is the FINISH HIM justified?" Usually when FINISH HIM appears, one person is dazed and the other initiates brutality/fatality/animality/friendship. However, in this scenario, Green Arrow was getting ready to shoot and Kano snuck up to do a move. Now I really wonder why FINISH HIM is there. I am looking too far into it. confused

Finish Him is there, because it's the title of the comic... I actually took it out of the 3rd - 5th ones because I wasn't sure about keeping it in there and on a whim, added it back in. grin

Maybe this was asked before but I might have missed it. What do you use to ink and color your work (dark outlines, different shades of vibrant colors)?

Do you use a pen-tablet to ink it onto the computer? Then use photoshop to color it? What do you use particularly, cause I like that cartoony comic style of drawing, inking, and coloring... it looks really good.

I work solely in PS CS2 with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.

I draw the comics at 1200x900, using a 4 px hard brush for my lines, 5 px for the outlines and 3 px for the detail lines that are usually set to 50% opacity.

After that, I lay all the colors down, then use a mask layer to apply the shading.

From there, I do any kind of lens flare and magical effects. Then I reduce the overall size by 50%, paste a background in, the border is added along with the "FINISH HIM/HER" text and it's posted.
