Does anyone have any details of exactly how deep the new fighting system will go?
I heard boon say in an interview they're opening up the hit frames a bit, I've seen alot of juggling in the demo. But What else are they including?
Any wake up game? option selects? tech throw? reversals? Did they get rid of the lame canned dial-a- combos?
I also saw you can use up a bit of your super meter to break a combo, not sure how I feel about that.
I have been playing SSFIV alot and even got the tournament fightstick. It's amazing how deep that game can really go. If MK will have that same level of deepness I will be hooked in.. The last few MK games I played alot but mostly just until I saw everything the game had to offer then gave up on it.

Nobody has any more details than you do at this time. It still remains to be seen whether boons promises come to true but his track record is to over promise and under deliver.
Using super meter to break combos has been a pretty standard thing for awhile now. Most games that allow a breaker move do it at the expense of some of your super meter.

Doubt it will go deeper then SSF4, well I guess it'll just be deep in different ways then SSF4, I did see either a reversal or counter in the game play demo, you see the word pop out on the side of the fighter that did it. They also said they're wiping away the dial-a-combo. . .

Thanks guys, I hope this at least will keep my interest longer than a few weeks.

they havent gotten rid of the dial ups in the game informer article Ed says each characters have their own set of dial up combos but they give you more frames to be more creative with it, if you look at the gameplay videos especially the gamespot one you can see johnny dash canceling while he is doing his juggle, also he did what looked like a focus attack though we dont know if its for all characters that plus the super meter wont make it as deep as SSF4 but wont be as shallow as MK was in the past.

I've been playing a lot of SSFIV as well and by the sound of things I think they are going for a hybrid feel between SSFIV and MK2. I think that would be perfect. I feel that giving the title the exact feel of Street Fighter would make it lose some of it's identity.

we would be lucky if its anything close to ssf4 game play. if you notice when sektor teleport upper cut and connects to reptile who is invisible it makes no sense. it also seem that it wont be balanced meaning that some characters might have an advantage over others which is flawed in my eyes. but only time will tell.

I actually hope they keep all that crazy shit out of MK. I'm playing SSFIV pretty hardcore right now, and it serves it purpose as a deep fighter, but MK has always been about having pick up and play fun.
I really don't want to have to sit in front of my TV for 3 fucking days figure out frame advantages and shit.
Keep it simple, MKII style.

jesus christ coldwindblows would u stop complaining about that Reptile thing puhleeeeeaasse! Anyway yeah i do believe it won't be as simple as MK2 but not as deep as SSF4 Anyway i hope they have a block button cuz i hate holding back to block it felt to awkward :/ Also, SSF4 isn't the most balanced fighting game in the world who'd play as a person who has no projectiles at all (Cammy, Adon, Deejay) vs a guy who can hurl fireballs every half a second (Ryu, Ken, Sagat)

You're ridiculous.
On another note, I'm already interested in the Tier List.

I know I saw techs and wake-ups in the footage that Edward Sanchez was narrating over, where he said about how he doesn't want his mom knowing what he does for a living.

You know what they say about tiers ;)
Anyway i believe top tier: Scorpion, Kung Lao, Sektor Mid tier: Subz, Mileena Bottom tier: Cage, Nightwolf, and Reptile

They didn't reject dial-up combos,in the august issue of GI it says pre-scripted combos will be present for the characters.
Not so sure about that....
and DeeJay has a fireball, dont know what game are you looking at.

Dee Jay sucks, so the lack of knowledge on rayden's part is forgiven
seriously though I don't know what Capcom was thinking when they designed that clown

Not trying to be an asshole but why would you come to another thread and complain about a "flaw" that you created an entire thread on???
I dont think other characters will have a major advantage over others, in the long run it will all come down to how you as a player will play with each of these fighters.

Why did I come on this post to basically say the same thing? Because it related to this topic. Happy now?

Sff4 is very balanced... Example: akuma compared to ryu akuma have more power and moves then most of the characters. Ryu have the average power and moves.
Zangeffe compared to ryu. Zangeffe is a wrestler that is danger from close but use parry and counters to fight against fighters like ryu(projectile fighters). Those are just two minor examples of balancing fighters.

Keep your we-todd-it bullshit out of other threads please, having it in yours is way more then enough, especially when that stupid shit should be locked. Like I said, the only flaw is you. . . and you don't know SHIT about Street Fighter either, obviously.
