bring back the option to create a profile that saves your button lauyout for differnet profiles

Looks like the main issue was the replay value.

***SPOILER WARNING****


There are only two unlockables in the entire game. That's right, no unlockable costumes, levels, movies, or profiles. Just Shao Khan and Darkseid, which are cool characters, but still, come on Midway. What happened to the Krypt?

I definitely feel like they should have included unlockables. I was very surprised at how shallow the menus and extras are. I pretty much agree with IGN as far as the extras/unlockables are concerned but not with their entire review as I find this game to be so much fun to play that the replay value lies in actually playing it. And Ed Boon was talking about alternate costumes in interviews so I don't get what happened to that. They better come up with some downloadable content real soon. Other than that the fighting is pretty much spot on. I still hate the 3D movement though :p

Redone.

Take off the DC Characters

More MK Characters

A solid story line

Tons of unlockables, like alternate costumes, arenas, characters

A good variety of game modes especially 1P VS Com.

A story mode for MK only.

Endings with cinematics

And finally, blood, gore, dark feel This is only what this game needs.

Because he's a tad psychotic?

I'm just listing random stuff that sticks out to me, as I go along trying everything the game has.


1 = Jumping punch should not stop mid air, at least not while the player is coming down from a jump, It needs to be smooth flowing with the jump animation, like the jump kick.

2 = Moves can't be so stiff with ugly recovery that is just a slow motion animation.

3 = The block button needs to be made so it does not make the character twitch if pressed fast while in 2D or 3D movement.

4 = Attacks need more wind up, something so they look like they have a reason for taking off. It shouldn't just be flying all of a sudden like you kicked a can. Liu's Flying kick looks bad.

5 = If you are going to have a freeze type animation at the peak of an attack, at least make it so it looks real, not bad like Liu's attack #4. I like what they did with his B+3 low kick with the shaking animation, looks cool.

6 = Again weight, the straight up jump animation looks totally wrong. There is no sense of weight.

7 = Tracking Needs to be on the first frame of an attack, or limited to certain degrees. There should be no 180 degree flipping errors.

8 = Attacks and combos need to look realistic, not weightless or like fast forward. It can be fast if it looks right, not like it's badly animated.

9 = Special commands need to have an input speed that does not interfere with other moves. Not too short, not too long, Liu's fireball input time is way too long. If you try to dash in and throw a punch, you'll end up with a fireball instead.

10 = Walking and other like animations need a ramp up to full speed. There should be no twitching because of a lack of speed gradation.

11 = There needs to be a useful side step for instant reactions. What they have now is good for fireballs mainly, but kind of hard to use for normal attacks.

12 = The switch foot is good, but could have been done with the Bottom two buttons instead or just tap B,B.

13 = You need to cancel out of the block to an attack instantly if it's an idle animation. You shouldn't have to recover from the block animation to be able to attack.

14 = Double attacks would be better done with manual input, not automatically like Liu's attack #4.

15 = When you are looking at moves in practice mode, make it so the computer remembers where you were on the list. Set a marker or something.

16 = Don't have annoying sounds for things like the moves list. That pan, pan, pan, pan..... is too irritating.

17 = In practice mode, the moves list needs to be instantly accessible. Have it at the top of the menu, set it to a button or display it on screen.

18 = Check moves for infinite loops. You should not be able to do a move more than 2 maybe 3 times naturally in a row. Liu's cartwheel to uppercut can be done over and over till you reach the maximum damage thing like the uppercuts in MKD. Instead have the launcher not launch as high, and toss the opponent further away, so you can't keep doing it. Against the wall, add a wall slam.

19 = I'd like ability to use the movement control from MKA. I don't like using two buttons for 2D and 3D movement. It messes me up.


20 = In character select screen. It should ask are you sure you want to quit when you press the O button. I didn't appreciate quitting the game on accident.

21 = Combo challenge needs to be able to recognize when a combo is landed better.


Overall the game is fun to play, a lot more than MKD and MKA I think. I'm pretty happy I got it.

- Post-Armageddon/DC Whatever timeline.
- Derivative sub-plots.
- Individualized character designs.
- Character-driven fighting styles.
- Unlockable additional content (ie; discussion sequences about the history of individual characters; costumes; characters; clips...).
- Worldwide distribution of Kollector's Edition.

I very much love this game due to the gameplay and excitement of using both MK and DC characters. However I would've liked to see:

1. Way more unlockables.
2. Kreate your Fighter mode but way more defined than MKA.
3. Each character has their own style of fighting stance.
4. More characters.
5. Alternate costume, but in a different way. I would like the MK team to add a feature where as we can edit each fighter's outfit to be as their alternate costume (from clothing to colors - head to toe).
6. For Klose Kombat, I wish they'll add the feature where as you can fight the same exact way as when you're in regular fighting mode but more brutally. It shouldn't just be where as you get a punch here and the other player has a chance to counter it and that's all! I'm talking about both sides brutally going head up for real and it's a certain amout of time where as you stay in the Klose Kombat mode and then you exit it.

That's about it for me. I think the MK team is finally going in the right direction concerning everything else.

I picked the game up yesterday and I've been enjoying it. The fighting system's not perfect but it's easily better than the last 3 MK games, and the close kombat / free-fall kombat modes are fun and not nearly as distracting as I thought they'd be. That said, there's always room for improvement:

- The lack of alternate costumes is really disappointing.
- The character selection has all the characters you'd expect, which is good in a way I suppose, but I was hoping for some more cure balls from both the MK and DC camps. No Reptile :'(
- It's been said before but there's just not enough unlockable content. Hopefully there will be some decent DLC in the future.
- The fighting animations can be a little stiff at times.
- As improved as the fighting system is, it's still less responsive than games like Soul Calibur and Tekken.

Really though, I'm pretty pleased with it. It's a fun game. It could be better, but it's exceeded my expectations.

amen bleed, it never ceases to amaze me the difference in responses from people who've actually played the game and people who're just sniping at it from behind a bunch of youtube videos.

I would add one more;

the goddamned cross up glitches have got to go. You can nuke almost all wake up options just by dashing at your opponent, then when he gets up and whiff, punish. weak.
I get a lot of glitches against teleporting characters.

Like with Raiden VS the Flash last night. I did the torpedo at the same time the other guy did a teleport.

I hit him, but Raiden was flying one way and the flash was flying the opposite way. They were all the way across from each other on opposite sides of the screen.

There are problems with special effects too, like Green Lantern will have a green beam of light sticking out behind him from his ring some times. I shocked a guy with Raiden and he stayed glowing for like 10 seconds after the hit.

I did a fireball, and the light effect staid stuck in the air just floating like it was frozen.

Flash's Kabal spin looks messed up too on counter hit. If I we clash, flash will fall back and I'll stay spinning in the air for a long ass time.

Another thing is my character would get stuck for no reason after a jump I think, on the landing. I can't attack, block, move, nothing but take a hit.

No circle shaped arenas/no extra way of movement on dpads or analog.
A NOVEL IDEA HP LP HK LK BL & MAYBE RUN.
We dont want all the extra mid attack if he is in the air sidestepping complicated garbage.
Ive played MK2 a billion hours & still see screens for the 1st time to this day
It is easily deep enough.
MK VS DC is a start back to glory, but not near a finish.
I see the improvements in sound & details guys, but u need 2 come back home.
You lose more fans every day that you stray from the 2D & maybe more important the basic MK 1-3 button layout.
Maybe Lui Kangs bycycle feels like b b f whatever but it was better 2 hold LK & fight w/ it charged.
MK lost all of its fluidness after going 3D & mixing the buttons made it worse.
Ed Boon U ever watched a concert where a singer did his mega hit differant because he has done it so much?
You wanted 2 hear the OG hit & not some reworked version didnt u?

More unlockables, longer story mode, Johnny Cage, and the regular fighting game modes (Time attack, Survival, Team etc.)

With all those this would be the perfect game for me. But it's still a solid, fun game without that stuff

yeah i would have like zero complaints if it had those. i'd even take that without the extra unlockables and longer story.
I wish they had a more loose combo system. Delayable chains, so you can do a command after an attack fully extends or connects.

Anyway, personally, I'd rather not have to fish for koins to unlock a bunch of useless art and team photos. What happened to just enjoying the game, without having to browse through so much concept art?

Actually, what I would have improved on, is I would have expanded the story mode so that you get to play as ALL the characters on each side.
