MK Arcade Kollection Pulled From Steam Store [updated]

Fans of the original Mortal Kombat trilogy may be disappointed to learn Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection has been removed from the Steam digital store.

Mortal Kombat Online has learned the three-in-one game was removed Friday, September 5th. At the time of this reporting, no additional information was available.

Update Sep. 25: Arcade Kollection (mislabelled as "Mortal Kombat Kollection") is now back online! Check it out now for $9.99.

Anecdotal evidence points toward problems relating to the closure of Games for Windows Live [full story] and resulting corruption errors from profile retrievals. Some players have reportedly experienced virtual disk space crashes.

Arcade Kollection is still presently available for home console downloads via Xbox Live and PlayStation Store. The PC version was originally staggered from console releases, available from February, 2012 - some nine months after console release.

Mortal Kombat Online will continue to follow the story as more details become available. Special thanks to MKOmmunity User ShoeUnited for providing information. Register to share your MKAK experience with us on the forums.

Yeah, I tried to pick it up last week and noticed it was gone (though their search still pulls up the link to the trailer). Figured it had something to do with the GFWL thing.

Its a news article.. They are shown on every section of forum..

Not really.
For example this one is only in the "2D classics" and "MKX" sections.
It shouldn't be in the "MKX" forum.

It makes sense to put it in the MKX forum since it's pretty much the only section on here that isn't going ignored nowadays.

So he can put his non-MKX related stuff in the "MKX" section, but he doesn't allow others to put their non-MKX related stuff here when they don't want them to be ignored. That seems really unfair if you ask me.

RE: Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Pulled From Steam Store

Guys, what is all this nonsense? We've been doing this for years now. Should be on top of it. If there's a strong contemporary relevance, news stories may be cross-posted in the "kontemporary" forum. In developing stories like these, there can often be topical connections. (It's literally in the description at the top of the forum). This is staff prerogative.

If you aren't taking a few seconds to check out different forums, that's lazy and silly. You're probably missing out. If you're only finding stories like this through the MKX forum, use it as a bridge to re-introduced yourself to the other forums. The primary link is always at the top of the page, often at the bottom of the article. You just might find something interesting.

Main story updated.
