First of all, this Developer Diary thing is great. Second, it sounds like Shaolin Monks is in good hands. It's nice to hear that everyone is working well together to make sure this time around an MK spin-off doesn't shame the series like the last ones.

It is really interesting to read how all the game process starts from scratch, not only on the programming side or the first ideas, but it's interesting how Major companies give oportunities to third-party developers. I would love to read how you guys started Coordinating the ideas of Goskie/Beran iwth the Paradox Studios.

Great, wow I never read so much before at one time.

Things seem to be running smoothly and I hope to actually read more about this in the later weeks.

We should be expecting a great game then.

Can't wait, boys.

This Develepor Diary thing is great. It's more refreshing to here from the source then from magazines and 3rd party websites. In all honesty, I never thought that the game was in developement for 2 years. It makes me wonder how old some of those screen shots are. Anyway, I hope to see more of these as Shaolin Monks reaches it's release date.

due to the past MK adventure games that people (who are not Ed Boon) had done.

.....
Edit : I have a quick question : Has this game been developed for 2 years like...... MK:Deadly Alliance to MK:Deception "2 years", or 2 whole years, 2 years?

I don't know what your salary is, but I'd make a nice bet you'd make more money selling fruit in ND. How would I know? Oh, I'd know.

Shaun Himmerick, rules.
And from what I saw from E3 footage he looks damn built...I wouldn't want to offend him!

Nice work on the diary guys, I must admit I had this very same Idea for TMK but I didn't get behind it enough as I didn't think I could get Midway to support this idea, well done.

Regards,

I dunno, after comparing the Shaolin Monks footage I've seen with Konquest maybe Paradox should be directing Midway how to make a good engine and cool environments.

Well Himmerick,
Mortal Kombat is the best game series and good luck on Shaolin Monks, I like the game engine and I'm wondering who the other secret character is besides Sub-Zero? the blacked out one in the direct feed video. Another question, do you know when any playable demos of mksm will come to Sacramento? I see Scorpion is a boss so since he's not playable I'll just use my 2nd favorite Sub-Zero when I unlock him, how do I unlock the two secret characters? This development diary things is great and the game was being made since 2003, why didn't I know this? I better change what game magazines I'm using. Anyway, I hope you guys do a great job with this game and make it the best game of 2005, 2006, etc...until the next title is made. Good luck....grinsmileglasses
P.S. What moves will Scorpionfurious have?

Aight, Shaun... I like ya avatar! grin *lmao*

Question:
Is Midway planning to release the game worldwide at the same time, or can we Europeans expect the Game ^1 Month Later?

Thnx/Regards & Keep it Up!

Man, I'm so pissed that I'm not going to be able to play MK:SM. I'm selling my Xbox tomorrow to put down more dough for Xbox360. Since MK:SM is coming out so close to the end of this generations platforms, is there any chance we'll see a revamped version of MK:SM on next gen systems? MK has had a history of this, as evinced by UMK3 and MK Gold. Well, here's hoping! I'd really hate to miss out on an MK game, especially when this one looks like a fun, fast paced, side scrolling action game. I definitely miss those games!

Honestly though, I appreciate the developer diary, and I can't wait to find out more on MK:SM from the inside perspective.

It's good to see the MK team is keeping a real close eye on the project. And if you guys think the games in good hands, then we can rest a little easier. I can't wait for yet another MK game to play at the beginning of High school for me, just like I got the great Deception at the beginning of last year.

If all goes well might we see another MK-spin-off? Oh I don't know...Mortal Kombat: Sonya & Mileena team up and kick the be-jaybus out of everyone.....It's just a suggestion..grin
