Are you guys still Mortal Kombat fans or have you drifted away from the franchise? I personally really enjoyed MK11 and Scorpion’s Revenge.

I haven't played MK11 all that much. I beat the core game and went on to other things. That said, I still love the lore and characters (as messy as the recent games have made them), and it'll always have a special, gory place in my heart.

I played MK11 a ton when it came out, then stopped for a while, and now I've recently gotten back into it. Many of the other games that I play have been feeling less fun lately, so MK11 is sort of taking their place until something better comes along.

^ basically. I'll still get on it to do towers and Krypt events and the characters and lore mean so much to me. Even if its in a giant heap of a mess at the moment.

It's a love/hate relationship with the franchise right now.

I'm not a fan of MK11's core emphasis of the slower neutral game. Felt like they pandered to the Street Fighter/competitive crowd.

I'm also not a fan of how randomized rewards are. I feel like the past few games from NRS I have actually played the game a whole lot less, and relied more on watching the AI battles and tower to unlock cosmetics.

That being said though I'm still "playing the game". Running towers, and finally unlocked shang's throne room about a month ago.

NRS, still does a fantastic job with thier production value on the game for the single player side. I really enjoyed the aftermath expansion, even if it felt a little overpriced.

Considering how much crap they had to deal with under Midway, and how much I love the franchise overall, I'll still but the games. I feel like NRS deserves the support.

I still like the series. I hop onto MK11 every so often, but not super often. There are some aspects that feel a bit too grindy for my taste (Not as much as Injustice 2 was, at least)

I want to touch on a couple of points you made, because I particularly agree with them. I really dislike the slower pace of the game compared to MKX, as well as the shift away from combo execution as the main source of damage. I might not hold the latter of those two positions if Krushing Blows felt more balanced across the cast, and admittedly I'm biased here because I main Skarlet, but her KBs are just awful. A quick list of examples:

As far as rewards, I think they could've been handled better, definitely. We're coming up on a year since the first Kombat League season. In my opinion, the skins from that mode should be put into the store and/or into the Shrine in the Krypt (but only when throwing in 100k Koins). While some might say that devalues those rewards, I think if it's done gradually, say one season at a time (so that players who didn't get them are always a year behind), it should be fine. I don't see anything wrong with allowing all players to have the chance to unlock that stuff, especially since those skins have more love put into them than nearly every other cosmetic in the game. I'm not sure why they've neglected to include an "unlock all" option like they had in MKX. All that said, I think they still could've done far worse things than what they gave us.

Because they WANT you to grind for it. Everything in this game is designed to keep you playing. The biggest culprit for me is losing points and getting deranked after you stop playing Kombat League for some time. I hate Kombat League.

I know the reasoning behind it, but I'm just saying that they'd make a lot of money if they allowed people to skip the grind. As for the KL thing, decay doesn't affect your rewards at the end of a season. You're rewarded based on the highest rank you achieved.

I completely agree about the Kombat league skins. I was never big on ranked play, and regrettably missed most of them.

I would really love a chance to get them somehow, as they are some of the better skins in the game. Particularly scorpion's skins, along with the human revenant skins.

It also doesn't make any sense to not make them available somehow, when they've been running the "Aftermath pre-order skins" through the in-game premium store the past few days.

They have been running krypt events the last few weeks offering a chance at the Kombat league gear pieces, but not the skins.

I only have two KL skins total: Kitana's from the very first season, and Jax's from the one that just finished. I wish I had played the mode a lot more in hindsight, but to date I've only ever dipped my toe in the water.
