It's my understanding that it CANT be reversed given its unanimous, and an R rating CAN'T be issued until at least after the New South Wales election. It's ridiculous

I don't know about the capital, but it's definitely been done: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2010/03/zombies-protest-against-aussie-game-ratings/
It's definitely not the Australian public that's supporting this thing!

Classification boards are often a source for information leaks.
Just the nature of the process, which requires a degree of transparency.
The good news is, the ratings situation is fascist nonsense, so you can resort to good old fashioned moral outrage.

Whilst this is a shame, I think given Australia's current standings this was somewhat expected.
Hopefully for those down under, once the election passes the game may then be allowed through your doors...
Oh and what's with ANOTHER torso ripping Fatality? From Shao Kahn of all people...

Im assuming the only way to import this game is to have a friend from around the world smuggle it in or buy it off of ebay because buying it from a major retailer will refuse shipment

I think shipment should only be refused to distributors (game stores) but not individuals. The ban is for the sale of the game but not the possession, correct?
I just sent a well wrote letter to the herald sun and listened to alot of rage against the machine to get inspiration on how to start a movement to get the gov to stop targeting the video game market and let adults have the freedom to choose wat the want to view...................surely ploygons killing each other is better than a picture of a naked child whose photographer claims as art...........that happened two years ago and was cleared

Yeah, and also that they would have at least four fatalities each, so don't sweat it.

Yes it does say that Khan rips them vertically.
Man this sucks hard, I feel very sorry for your Aussies. I hope there is some way to import, bypass the ban.

If I were head of the Australian Ratings Board I would make it illegal to preform Fatalities and X-rays.
