there are many 3d games being made now that are pretty damned fast so i really don't get why anyone would automatically think the game is going to be 2d.i am hoping it is NOT 2d. if it is i will have to deal with it but i am with Cassleman on being really tired of the whole 2d vs 3d crap. leave it alone and let the news of it come out and than we will know. we all know who wants 2d on the boards because none of you won't let anyone forget about it. give it a friggin rest...please!

Well, we are hoping that under a new publisher, we should get what we want. A majority of the people want it to be 2D, and it is mostly because of the success of SSF4.

This is a forum, and we want to express out feelings. I think that it's only fair that if people can make the same posts over and over again as different topics, I think we can get away with this, sir.

I am open to this game being on a 2d plane, but I dont want it to play like the classics for the most part. With what we have heard, I doubt its going to be 2d anyways. its such a longshot.

I dont think it's going to be anymore 3d than MK vs DC. The 2.5 D aspect in that game worked very well. It's only natural for them to make the game feel more 2D, because it works.

Yeah I never really used the sidestepping in MKvsDC. I'd be fine if it was similar this time

i liked 3d on a two dimentional plain...as what people have been calling it 2.5d. lol it is still 3d but its limited and restricted. i found i wanted to use L buttons (ps3 version of MKvsDC) to sidestep because i found it really hard to adjust to using the analog.

anyways...it would be nice to get back on the topic of Ed's twitter rather than the 2d vs 3d debate...i ask to give it a rest because this argument ruins alot of threads that it has nothing to do with. it seems like it has been happening on many threads and i don't want to hear this stuff in every thread. that is all i am trying to say. the topic was game speed having to do with the fighting mechanics not the dimentions of the game.

Where did you get the "IS" from? And if this is true, this really isnt that significant. I wasn't expecting mk9 to have a run button, since mk vs dc didn't have one.


Perhaps Ed is just hinting on how fast the gameplay is though.

they could use double tap forward to run.... really dont need running for a fighting game to be fast anyways. ssf4 combo links are faster but the overall speed(medium) of the game is still the same. so im trying to figure out, whether the combos are fast or the overall game speed is fast........

A (possible) 2D MK without a "Run" button? I heard that was illegal in some states.

I didn't like the run button anyway. I prefer the double tap.

I was looking at it and thought each word was its own. I never took the whoole thing as being able to be scrambled togehter. probebly what threw me off.

And Hector Sanchez retweeted it. It may be that he is simply excited about E3, but he could also be excited because MK will be there. It could be nothing or it could be awesome
