I'd like to thank DArqueBishop, Scott, and others on the MKO staff for asking my fight night questions. Appreciate it. (my icon sheds a bloody tear lol)

And to the MK Bot who gave me a serious LMAO moment toward the end of the chat.

Thanks ED, Hector, Greenberg and the MK team for answering those too. You guys joke a lot. Bring Dan Forden to the next chat.

Interesting chat pre and post fight night as well.

Here are a selection of questions which should have been asked.

Instead we got unrelated, irrelevant questions asked.

- Are there FMV endings in this game?

- What is the status on alternate costumes?

- Are there unlockable characters besides Shao Kahn and Darkseid

- Why did Kitana get one of Mileena's Trademark special moves?

- Before MK vs DC materialised what did you have in place for MK8/9? Characters, gameplay, story, etc!

- How do you think Mk vs DC will square up to its competition?

- Which characters would you most have in mind for DLC?

- Is there a sub-boss in Mk vs DC for both sides?

- Why didn't you give characters there own specific throw?

Do characters have individual get-up animations after each round?

Now tell me those questions aren't as good as the dire ones asked!!!

Please tell me that you remember how disappointing the MKD and MKA Fight Nights were. You should have expected this. Again, this isn't a knock on the Midway staff, you can only answer the questions asked, but it's clear to me that the wrong questions were submitted to begin with once again.

The questions they asked this time around were perfectly fine. A lot of Cenobite's have already been answered, can't BE answered, or won't even tell us anything. I mean come on, "How do you think Mk vs DC will square up to its competition?" You really think that's a good question? Of course they're going to say they expect it to do well!

Fight Nights shouldn't even be held until AFTER the game is out, so we don't get any redundant questions we already know the answer to or will know the answer to on Sunday.

[23:42:25] Lui Kang's freefall special is great

The MK team doesn't even know how to spell their very own creation's names correctly. *facepalm*

Yeah that wasn't impressive... maybe you guys should re-do the entire thing only this time while you're not all heavily drunk. I wish I was there, I really wanted to know if the game supported Custom Soundtrack.

Malone's gameplay questions were asked and answered and that's all that matters in my book. Yay for escapable throws

I didn't care to much for the chat itself but at least I got one of my questions answered, which was about the practice mode. They spelled my name wrong though.

@Tyrant and Co;
Most of those questions are already known or just as irrelevant.

FMV:
Seriously? We're gonna know this in 5 days.

Alt Costumes:
There aren't any. This was answered months ago.

Unlockables besides Shao/Seid:
This was asked and answered.

Mileena / Kitana:
Because Mileena's not in the game and they wanted everyone to have 5-6 specials. What answer were you looking for?

Before MKvDC:
Not much, they had the engine up and running and were working on Sub Zero and Scorpion, that's about it. This was answered months ago.

Against Competiton:
What do you think? Is someone really going to say "I think our game sucks balls / rocks ass compared to X/Y/Z?"

Character DLC:
This was asked and answered.

Sub-Boss:
Asked and answered.

Specific throws:
Because they were too busy working on everything else or far more likely, to facilitate the directional throwing system. What answer were you looking for?

Get Up Anims:
Again, 5 days.

Meanwhile, they answered a number of questions that I found extremely valuable. Throw escapes are in, high / low throws are in, directional throws, Johnny Cage / Reptile explanations are in the comic, dc cameos, the stupid censorship question that doesn't matter at fucking all, arcade stick support / shoulders are mapped to buttons, online PAL v NTSC on 360, practice mode is good, 1p arcade mode has multiple ladders, 14 arenas, no spectator mode (boo!), dark kahn render coming, scorpion/bat leg takedown difference, quan chi unplayable (boo!), Seid / Shao function like real characters, dk not playable.

Seriously, this is the best of the fight nights by far. For once they actually talked about the GAME and not just who styles ed boons eye brows or how many mini games there are.

I concur. Why would they ask them questions about futue MK games when this title isn't even out yet.

I really liked this Fight Chat and I enjoyed the playful attitude of the team and the mk5.org staff, even though it got *a bit* annoying when we needed serious answers and everyone kept talking on top of everyone and making jokes.

Aside from that, it was great, really.

Plus, they answered my question: I was busyfan because I WAS very very busy that day. I hate how my homework turned up for today, but oh well.

I then regretted the username I chose but I couldn't figure out how to change it without logging off so I opted not to log off in case I wouldn't be able to log in again. I thought writing changing it to queve was going to be simple after I finished my stuff.

Anyways, some cool questions were answered (even though others should had been answered better or asked), and Sonya got A LOT of love from the Team and fans on that chat room.

I love what they said about deciding to make her "perfect", all the praise she keeps getting for her sexy beautiful model and amazing gameplay, and obviously, that she was mentioned by many of them as one of their faves.

Awesome. Its a happy time to be a happy Sonya fan.

I also can't wait to see the rest of the free fall moves, Deathstroke's appears to be one of the main faves from the team, hopefully it's very brutal.

LOL.

Bad part is, they didn't really answer the part I asked about keeping the trademark classic moves active and alive for future games. -_-' Oh well.

Q: Are there FMV endings in this game?
A: No. They already said, Story Mode is ALL FMV, but Arcade Mode's endings use pictures and text like in traditional MK games.

Q: What is the status on alternate costumes?
A: There are only P1/P2 color changes.

Q: Why did Kitana get one of Mileena's Trademark special moves?
A: Because the characters have more special moves in this game than they've ever had before, requiring the team to add more to Kitana's list. Since Mileena isn't in the game, they figured they could share.

I'm not even on the team and I knew the answer to those. Isn't paying attention grand?

Erm, the entire Story Mode isn't full of FMV's. It is full of cut-scenes, rendered by the game engine actually.

FMV's are completely different to cutscenes.

& yes, we know about the palette-swapping colours for characters, but no actual denial or confirmation of alternate costumes, MK can have them seeing as they don't have to be okayed with DC. & they could be included with DLC.

Once we got back to the hotel room we thought of a good number of things we'd have liked to ask. It happens, but don't complain things don't get asked if you don't make more of an effort yourself. A few of those on the list may have been answered, but I didn't see them asked to the Bot or missed them if they were. Things happen, we asked just about everything they permitted and were scratching for decent questions by the end of the event. All in all, I still think it was one of the best Fight Nights Q&A wise. Not just saying that because I went; we asked a good handful of gameplay related stuff and got pretty good answers on top of them.

That's just anal-retentive. They said there's no alts, they said characters are the most likely DLC, you just want them to repeat themselves using more lawyer-like "definitive" wording.

That was terrible. All these ridiculous questions asked. I wish somebody brought up the status of the next Mortal Kombat movie. Someone said that they're not producing it (obviously), but Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat, should know something. We've only waited a decade.

As I explained to you at the event (after you kept spamming me about it and came close to annoying me enough to toss you out), Ed DOESN'T know anything about the third movie, and even if he did he's not talking. I say that from experience; we've asked on more than one occasion in the past and got nothing from him.

I was unfortunately busy and preoccupied and could not remember to make it on into the chat. But it feels good that my question, to get a generalized answer as to what would be expected in DLC, had been asked. And it was my intent to ask for only a general answer; it is good for us to speculate here and wonder just what it is that Midway will release.

Now if only Mr. Forden was there, it might have felt even better. My last name happens to rhyme with his xP
And I'm musically-inclined, despite the fact that I don't play an instrument.

Whatever. Now to wonder for the next game, that The Dead Pool returns in its original form of the long walkway, a la MK Armageddon's presentation of the Subway, and that the iconic music for The Dead Pool may be remixed. That form, or otherwise make a torture complex somewhere in Outworld and have The Dead Pool be a part of it that the arena progression takes it to in a fight.
