Hey there, all...

I remember a similar thread before the new forums came along but couldn't remember who made it and whatever...

Anywho, it seems appropriate over here in the Intro Forum so, pow! Here it is..lol

In this thread, tell us about the selection of your name.

Is it obvious, like a fav character? Is there some sybolization to it? A real name or nickname? ect

Some people appear all over the site with some...."creative" (lol) usernames so I thought I'd ask brand spankin' new people...

While I'm at it, My name came about after some of my drinking tendancies caught up with me 5-6 yrs ago. Known as an extreme aggressor when distinctly provoked, my "alter ego" if you will, was dubbed "Predatorial" then changed to "ThePredator"....the drink? Rum, particularly Baccardi. Since my attitude changed so much during these occasions, it was fitting that the most potent version of the rum accompany my aggressive behavioral title. "ThePredator151" has jack to do with the movies...though that charcters persona might be synonmous in some ways...

Moreover, "ThePredator" attributes to my unintended disregaurd for others. I kinda..."hawk" the opposition into submission no matter who. Now, I'm not a jerk or asshole in real life.... In fact, I'm a really cool, logical, "go with the flow kinda guy". It just comes across nonchalant not to give a fuck....and accidently have the person I'm talking to painfully understand that through what I do or say. Lmao!

Now ThePredator151 is a part of my stage name. AnD note, since the last incident I've stopped messin' around with hard liqour. I mean, majorily I'm one of those "cool" drunks, but I'm gettin' to old for that kinda unnessassary childish behavior. Now-a-dayz I might just have a beer or some wine. No more straight shots for me...Ha! Besides that, I'm responsible for little ones now...

I created the User Name "RyanRaiden", because Ryan is my real first name, and Raiden is the most awesome character, and my favorite character in the Mortal Kombat Series!!

My name obviously come from the word Toxic, however it also comes from one of Britney's song which has the same title. Anyway, when I joined MKO I really didn't know what name to use, and since that song was on. I decided to use it. However like MK does, I decided to change the 'C' to a 'K'.

I was a fan of those crazy newgrounds stuff that sends up MK. Anyway Cyrax morphs into a dancing banana and the song "Peanut Butter Jelly" comes up.

Nice Thread Predator.

Well when i first got here i was playing Mortal Kombat Deception online. I was using the tag "KARATE". Well i figured if that was my username online,Then that is what i would use on here. Silly me,I always thought that this site was for online players only. hehtongue

I didn't know what username to use on the first forum I joined, so I thought a boom was good, but I needed more letters, so I just retypedd boom, and thus, boomboom was born. It's stuck for a while.

Nowadays, I also use Boom-Boom, Boomboom, and Boomsie.

On Sega Mega Drive, MK1 had a character called... Rayden. Rayden with a Y.

I didn't know the arcade original had been Raiden. When MK2 came out, Rayden's name was changed back to Raiden, which wasn't the name by which I grew to know and love my favourite thunder god!

Thing is, I don't actually know why midway changed the 'i' for a 'y' - something to do with another raiden character, wasn't it? Anyone help me out?

Gunner Gunter is my alias for when I write myself into stories and cartoons I do. It evolved from that into my internet surname. When I don't have enough spaces I'm just plain Gunter.

If you're curious Gunner Gunter is a weird guy who made a name for himself by fighting Nazis in WWII and became a secret agent, then he fought in a war against whimsy in the 60's and 70's, then he went to grade school in the 00's and did his best to make trouble until he was called out of retirement.

No, that shouldn't make any sense.

RaYdens' "Name"....

Raiden's name is spelled Raiden in the arcade iterations of the Mortal Kombat games, and both Deadly Alliance and Deception. On the other home versions (as well as Japanese ports of the games), his name is spelled Rayden. This was allegedly because of copyright issues as a shoot 'em up was named Raiden, or possibly to keep from confusing of Raiden from the Fatal Fury series, who was seen as a large wrestler. The console versions up until Mortal Kombat 4 changed the name to Rayden.

However I caution, don't put too much faith in Wiki. Most things are pretty accurate, but there are those things that are total bs..lol

Now I know some people will assume Im some hardcore Marvel fan.I'm not. I just like the Silver Surfer of Marvel.I think just pronouncing the word "The Silver Surfer" sounds cool. If you read about him a little, his intelligence is beyond belief in my opinion. It's like he speaks the logics of Yoda from Star Wars, except Silver Surfer makes since. Not so much in wierd riddles like Yoda does. The SS doesn't like the humans(military/citizens) who inhabit Earth, but chooses to protect it and it's people anyway like it's heroes, all the time.

Besides, I couldn't think of anything else cool to represent while creating my account, because I was busy on the phone at the same time too with my friend who told me about this hot site.

I wouldn't consider Marvel or Marvel Characters "cool"....

You're right to question wikipedia, Predator 151, cos i know Rayden was only Rayden on MK1- well, on mega drive at least. he was back to raiden by mk2

(so are sindel, scorpian, lee mei nd every1 else except ashra i HATE her!) as i was saying mileena nd kitana r my favourites nd den i rembered mileena is kitanas clone nd i couldnt oick which 1 so i came up with mileenaorkitana! lol
