I see Kitana will be in the next Mortal Kombat. There is basically no exceptions.

I think that Kitana and the realm of Edenia will be in danger again, this time, by Reiko [I have a feeling that he will defeat Shao Khan to take his crown that he heavily desires]. Then, I think Reiko will send his forces to Edenia to attempt to take over the realm, with Millena trying to assassinate her "sister", and various Tarkatan warriors. Jade and Sindel would be at her side that would represent Edenia.

My Kitana Biography for MK8[ if she appears]

I had survived encounter with my sister Millena and Baraka. I had finally defeated my sister, Millena. But I hear that she is still alive... or ressurected. Who the heck would ressurect a futild demon that does not belong in this world?
I was duting my duties as Princess of Edenia, when I heard screams outside the castle that Sindel, Jade, I and the Edenian Warriors reside in. I go out with Jade and Sindel at my side. There I see someone I had thought I would never see; Reiko, leader of Shao Khan's extermination squads. I thought that whe was up to another one of his schemes until I saw my sister at his side, raising the dead carcasses of my "father", Baraka, and most devastating, my biological father, King Jerrod.
Sindel told me that the third corpse that Millena raised was the corpse of my father. I wanted to go fight against them, but I held my anger inside myself. Jade wanted to fight aginst them, too. But my lovely mother, Sindel, yelled a yelping scream to the Outworld forces. They ran away, but King Reiko and Queen Millena stayed there. They wanted all three of our heads for a reason for each of us... but all of us we left Shao Khan's side and betrayed him... like he deserved.

But the problem there is that's essentially the same thing Kitana and co. have been doing. Edenia's in danger...Kitana defends...Jade & Sindel are helping....Mileena wants to kill her. It's getting old.

If they return in the next gen they need new direction and different things to do.

Okay...was told it's time to start the next character. So let's hear it for Mortal Kombat's own resident psycho clone....

Mileena
After Shao Kahn conquered the realm of Edenia, he adopted the newborn Princess Kitana as his daughter, raising her as his own. Although Kitana grew up loyal to Kahn, it was feared if she should ever discover the truth about her past, she'd turn against him. For this reason, Kahn had his lead sorcerer Shang Tsung create more evil, vicious, and loyal clone of Kitana who was intended to replace her.

However, something apparently went wrong with the clone's creation. Because of the Tarkatan essence used in creating the clone, her face deformed into a hideous Tarkatan mouth. Instead of replacing Kitana, the clone was given the name Mileena and introduced as Kitana's twin sister and was used to watch her and make sure she never turns against Kahn.

Mileena grew up alongside Kitana to be one of Shao Kahn's personal assassins, although she harbored a strong jealousy towards her "sister" whom Kahn favored over others. At some time in her life, she met Baraka and became an ally of his and possible lover.

As Kahn feared, Kitana did indeed learn the truth about her past and plotted against him...feigning loyalty until she could make her move. When Shao Kahn held a tournament in Outworld, Kitana was seen speaking to an Earthrealm warrior, creating suspicions about her loyalty. Mileena entered to discover what Kitana was up to and to put a stop to it.

Mileena discovered Kitana was planning on turning against Kahn and attacked her traitorous "sister." However Kitana was victorious, slaying Mileena. Mileena's soul decended into the Netherealm where she found herself resurrected and recruited by the fallen Elder God Shinnok. During the Outworld invasion of Earth, Mileena was sent by Shinnok to spy on Kahn's forces...also granted the ability to read Kitana's mind.

When Shao Kahn was defeated, Mileena was summoned back to the Netherealm to prepare for Shinnok's coming invasion. She participated in the invasion of Edenia, but she secretly allowed Kitana to escape the dungeons so she could have a chance to face her in a fair fight. Mileena hoped to defeat and kill Kitana and rule Edenia for herself.

However Mileena was again bested by Kitana and secretly placed in an Edenian prison...perhaps in the hope she may one day be reformed. Mileena remained trapped there for some time until Onaga the Dragon King began his own invasion of Edenia. Mileena was discovered and freed by Baraka who told her of Onaga and how he'd enslaved Kitana.

Eager for a chance to gain some revenge against Kitana, Mileena joined Onaga's forces and was sent to masquerade as her "sister." She was to divert Kitana's armies and lead them to ruin. To further conceal her deception, she placed Bo' Rai Cho in charge of the armies and sent them into battle. To Mileena's surprise, Kitana's armies decimated Baraka's hordes.

It is believed that in seeing how powerful Kitana's armies were, and realizing she could rule as long as the believed she was Kitana, Mileena decided to take power for herself. When we last left her, she was planning on eliminating Baraka because he was the only one who knew of her deception. What happens to her and plans will be seen in Armageddon.

Mileena's always been one of my favorites. She's a very interesting and dynamic character and I always found the tragedy of her story most appealling. Even though she's evil and psychotic, you can kind of sympathize with her. Alhough she's been around for a while and is a well developed character, she still has a lot of untapped potential. She is actually one of the few "classics" I think should return in the next gen.

As we head into Armageddon, we have Mileena masquerading as Kitana and in control of her armies for herself. However, several issues await her. Kitana, Sindel, and Jade are all still alive. Baraka is apparently also alive, as is Onaga and I doubt either are pleased Mileena's taking power for herself. Not to mention sooner or later the Edenian forces just might catch on that "Kitana" doesn't take her mask off anymore and acting strangely.

As I alluded to in the Kitana discussion, the painfully obvious route would be for Kitana and Mileena to simply fight for control of Edenia...with Kitana winning and Mileena being killed once and for all.

Like Kitana, yet another rematch just wastes Mileena. For one thing, it's old. Since the beginning all Mileena's really been doing is trying to kill Kitana...only in Deception actually doing something for herself. Why waste this big moment for Mileena with her going back to "I must kill Kitana" mode. It's time we see Mileena do something different and interesting than merely hunting down Kitana again.
For one thing, as I stated, Mileena has some bigger things to worry about than just Kitana....like Baraka for one. I've always suggested Tanya should try to screw her out of the throne. And I doubt Onaga's happy she's taking her own power.

However, because this is the grand finale game, Kitana and Mileena should have at least some sort of interaction or confrontation before it's over. They do need a chance to settle their differences, because they want to wrap up the current plot-lines; so their feud does need closure. BUT that doesn't mean they have to fight and kill each other. Not only would fighting Kitana be a waste, it also would not bring proper closure to Mileena anyway. Contrary to popular belief, Mileena killing Kitana would not be good closure for her.

So what would be proper closure for Mileena? For most...if not all...of her life, Mileena has been trying to win Shao Kahn's approval. But he always favored Kitana, hence why she hated her. Good closure for Mileena would be finally realizing Shao Kahn doesn't love her, has treated her like shit her whole life, and finally letting go of her hatred for Kitana.
So we see it comes back to Shao Kahn, who is the real cause of Kitana and Mileena's whole rivalry.

I think, unless she's found a way to fix her face or has the Edenian army under some sort of spell, it's a given Mileena's deception won't last. Kitana, Sindel, & Jade just have to return to their army and reveal that it's really Mileena. Meanwhile, Baraka is still alive and by now propably told Onaga of Mileena's betrayal. Now both sides want her dead and she's going to be on the run with nowhere to go.

Now enter Shao Kahn who would most likely expect her to serve him again. Mileena may consider joining, but having finally tasted power for herself, might not want to become his servant again. She could then find herself in the battle between Kitana and Shao Kahn....forced to choose being her "father's" slave again, or finally letting go of her hatred for Kitana. Or maybe Mileena simply sides with Kitana to only kill Kahn, but plans on fighting Kitana after. And during the fight Kitana saves Mileena's life, leading back to that choice. Could Mileena finally let go of her hatred for Kitana?

If it were to go down that way, what Mileena's final choice would end up being would be pretty damn interesting. Not to mention, Mileena would also be in a similar underdog position like Kitana. Shao Kahn is still stronger than them, hence why they would have to align with each other. And Mileena getting involved would be a good way to wrap up Kitana's individual story, Mileena's individual story, AND their feud all in one shot.

So we have a climactic showdown between Shao Kahn, Kitana, and Mileena (Sindel should also be a part of this naturally, but that'll be discussed later). Kitana of course trying to finally settle her issues with her step-father once and for all. And Mileena, uncertain of where to stand between her "father" and her hated "sister." Them trying to overcome their own fears and the overwhelming brute power of Shao Kahn.

When the battle is over, Kahn will be dead. Kitana will have settled her story. And during or after the fight, Mileena can finally realize Kitana doesn't deserve her hatred after all. She could then finally let go and she and Kitana can go their seperate ways. She could then move on and try to form a new life for herself.

As I said, I think Mileena should return in the next gen. If her story were to go down this way, she'd return in the next gen with a clean slate. No longer bound to Kitana, where would Mileena go and what would she do? Would she stay evil? Or turn good? Would she someday find a way to get her face fixed?
Even if Mileena doesn't return in the next gen, I do think this is how her story should go anyway. Mileena's had one of the better stories in Mortal Kombat and I hope it gets a better end than she just dies like some meager henchwoman. She's had a shitty life that isn't really her fault and I think she deserves better than simply getting killed by Kitana or someone else again.

So to sum up: Mileena shouldn't fight with Kitana. She should find herself drawn into the fight against Shao Kahn and finally let go of her hatred for Kitana. She then moves on to forge a new destiny for herself outside Kitana's shadow. I didn't mention in detail, but somewhere in between all this, Mileena should also have a confrontation with Baraka so they can settle their difference. Obviously, Mileena should win that fight.

Yes, very good analysis. I too think she needs better closure to her story with Shao Kahn as opposed to just having a final showdown between her and Kitana.

I'm not sure if I could see her in the next-gen MK games. I would rather her story be wrapped up, leaving people to wonder what will truly become of her. Then again, maybe it could work for her to be in the next-gen MK games. What would her story involve? Well, maybe she could try to find a way to fix her face as well as find her own path in life.

I too want the Kitana VS Mileena rivalry gone, its been going on for too long. MKDA and MKD were a breath of fresh air because both of them where in without the other. But the two of them will in be in MKA. I think you're right, Mileena should realise that its not Kitana's fault but rather Shao Kahn's fault she led a tragic life. While I do think she should let go of her hatred for Kitana I do think she needs to stay evil or neutral. Her little stunt in MKD has now cost her all her allies. She can forge a quick one with Edenia but I don't want that to last. One of the most appealing traits of Mileena is the fact shes an absolute, power hungry psycho. The Tarkatan are against her now though, so is Onaga and Shao Kahn but I don't see either of those or Baraka making it to next gen so not to worry for Mileena. She needs her own individual goal, something she wants. I'd say by the looks of her MKD appearence she's fully come to terms with her face (though only the MK2 comics ever stated otherwise) so I hope she doesn't go after trying to fix it. If she does she'll just become Kitana in Pink when shes so much more than that right now. It's hard to think of a possible plot for Mileena but whatever will happen after MK8, Mileena should survive. Shes probably the deepest character in the game, to kill her and revive others is rather a waste.

Mileena is amazing. Her storyline is one of the best from MK.

Well, I think that a fight against Kitana in MK:A is unavoidable. But Kitana killing Mileena is too obvious and repetitive. We had already seen that in Kitana's MK II ending. And in MK:G she wasn't killed, but was defeated.
Mileena killing Kitana is even worse. It's unfair for the princess.

So, how can they finish their rivalry? After read XiahouDun84's opinion, I started to think about they team up against Shao Kahn. I think that it can work. I'm not saying that they should become friends or anything like this, but they don't need to be enemies forever. Maybe after Kahn's death, they must be indifferent about each other.

It seems that Onaga's plans with the kamidogu failed (since he isn't the big boss anymore). If that's true, I don't think Baraka, Tanya and Mileena will stay loyal to him. Baraka and Tanya will probably start to work for Blaze, and Mileena, who was working for Onaga only because he had Kitana as a slave, will continue to pose as the princess and try to finish her "sister" once and for all. But I don't think Baraka will forget about Mileena's deception and will try to get revenge from her.

Mileena would defeat Baraka and then, she could find Kitana fighting against Shao Kahn. Here, she would have to make a choice: she would help Kahn or Kitana? For some reason, she could choose her "sister".

At the end, as I said, They won't be friends. Kitana would be grateful for Mileena and each one would get their way. Kitana would become the Queen of Edenia and Mileena could become the Emperess of the Outworld.

Mileena's storyline was too much focused in Kitana because until MK:G the MK storyline was too much focused in the big boss. And they were always in different sides. But in MK:DA and MK:D we had a lot of characters, like Nitara, Blaze, Ashrah, Hotaru, Havik, Dairou and Darrius, that weren't directly related with the "main" story. I think it can work with Mileena in next games. She would get involved with Outworld and completely forget about Edenia and Kitana.

But I still think that Kitana will kill her and we will never see Mileena again

My sincere opinion is that she shouldn't and also will not make to the next gen games. Mileena is an interesting character and her psyhosys is truely a well built one, she is misplaced, misshaped and misunderstood, not a pleasent place to be. Her story however well managed and tragic should come to an end she is also one of those character that should go out with a bang especially after taking kitana's rightful place. As most of you have stated there are 3 main endings possible

#1 the confruntation with kitana

Definetly not the most original/inspired/good idea, it's very predictable most people know how it's supposed to end(mileena shoul lose yet again), there's nothing new with this story. An interesting confrutation though, as always.

#2 the confruntation with shao khan

She might decide to turn on her "father" as an ultimate sign of revenge psychotic people tend to do so, and in this confruntation she has a number of people she might ally with just for the kill like:Jade,Kitana and Sindel and this would result into an "unholy alliance", but after khan's defeat her faith might not be so kind.

#3 the confruntation with baraka

This is my most desired ending. Both baraka and mileena are great character but i think it's time for them to end their journey. I woul be really disappointed if the two would have a commom ending due to their tarkatan nature they share a bond. A battle between the two is a great ideea but so is an alliance maybe against khan or shang tsung you never know who the wheel might turn. The problem, from my point of view, with a fight between the two is merely who would kill the survivor, if mileena was to survive kitana killing her would be too far too predictable and cliche and as for baraka there are plenty of speculations but none distinguish themselves.

Yeah, hopefully Mileena will have other things involved in her story besides Kitana. But... unfortunately, I see Kitana just killing Mileena again and you know why? Because the MK Team is just that predictable. -_-

But... I did come up with a more in depth storyline for Kitana and Mileena's end to their rivalry, which would've been better than the one I put in my original storyline. (see signerature) *sighs* Oh well, maybe I'll write it out someday.

I'm not too sure on that actually. Its obvious that in Deception the team spent alot of time on Mileena. She was in alot of the previews, trailors, promotional art, she had a great storyline, was one of the better fighters and looked the best, it seemed to me that they were proud of her in a sense. Something they didnt do with Kitana in MKDA. I think the team realise they've got a keeper here which I'm ecstatic about but also a little worried too...for obvious reasons.

Finally, my favorite character! Ever since I first laid eyes on Mileena, I knew she was kick-ass. Her hidden "beauty", her vicious attitude, her sexy purple outfit. I have never seen her as just that Kitana rip-off most people do. Will she MK8? I could always say, yeah put her in cause I love her! But I don't want her in, just to become a pile of shit most of the classics are. If she's in it, be it a good reason, and these are some of those reasons.

Last we saw Mileena, she was under the guise of Kitana, leading her troops into bloody battle with Onaga. In all out war, I could also see Kahn's forces joining in the ravage too. What would she think if she saw her "father"? Would she join back to his side? With the power she has now, I doubt it. But all good things must come to an end. Mileena would eventually be found out, may it be by Kitana's actual return, or the news of her being still alive. Either that, or by Baraka telling Onaga the truth. If he found out, it might let it accidentally slip to the Edenians that their leader is a fake. Mileena, royally pissed, would only have time to kill Baraka before she was captured and taken to Kitana.

Sent before Kitana, she would make a daring getaway, and have a quick battle with her "sister," just for old time's sake. Hearing news that Kitana plans to defeat Kahn, she hides in the shadows and waits until the time is right. Once Kitana, SIndel, and maybe even Rain arrive at the Emperor's palace, he begins to lecture Kitana. He tells her he is disapponted because she was always the best, better than her piece of shit sister. This would enrage Mileena, and cause her to jump down into battle with her step-father and twin. Not taking sides, at first, would she change the opinion of her sister if she saved her life. I think it honestly would make Mileena let the hatred go, and with Kitana and Rain (Sindel dying), she would help bring down Kahn. With differences aside, Mileena disappears into the shadows.

Of course, Mileena could always go the obvious route and be an evil bitch, join with Kahn, take down Kitana, and finally be the better daughter to Kahn. Of course, Kahn is bound not to make it into MK8, so that would be pointless.

Seeing Mileena in a future MK is difficult to me, simply because her storyline is now completely free. Perhaps she could go back to her roots and become an assassin once again. That could open up another plot with a future warrior, who maybe is her target. Maybe she'll return to the only other person she knew who could help her - Shinnok. Of course, he'll probably die too, but maybe she could join the Brotherhood of the Shadows to repay the debt of her ressurection. Mileena just really needs to find herself, figure out who she really is. Maybe she could come in contact with another sorcerer to restore her face and finally be accepted into the MK universe.

I truly wish Mileena will return for an appearance in MK8. However, just throwing her in their without rhyme nor reason is just dumb. I don't want her to become another Johnny Cage. If this is her time, let it be, but if not, then good things are sure to happen to her (better happen!) What does the future hold for her? Only time will tell, or Boon.

Ah, Mileena. Pathetic imo. Well, gameplay wise. Herstory is one of my favorites right now. She should end of killing Baraka, but more on that later.

Gameplay wise, she has nothing. I don't see waht people see in her. She throws some knives, teleports, rolls. Meh, not interested.

For her story in MKA, she shouldn't kill Baraka at the beatle lair. Something should happen to knock her and Baraka out, and away from each other. Eventully they meet up again and Mileena kills him. Then she moves into Edenia to fight Kitana, but loses. She is then killed.

Again some interesting thoughts you all have. Somehow I don’t think Mileena will make it to next gen. She has made a lot of enemies in the past games which means there is a lot to be fixed for her to finally be free and go her own way. I never thought about Mileena and Kitana becoming allies though, this is one of the most interesting ideas.

But with Mileena currently posing as Kitana and controlling her armies it seems that a confrontation between them seems unavoidable. This doesn’t mean one of them has to die though. If they form an alliance and defeat Kahn together, what will happen next? I don’t think they can go separate ways because one thing that Mileena desires above all is power. And as long as Kitana is alive she will never have that power.

If Mileena should return in the next MK then I really like the idea for her to go on a quest to get her face fixed. It would be really interesting to finally see Mileena with a normal face and maybe then Kitana will finally accept her as her sister and not just a clone. Kitana could then give Mileena a descent position in Edenia which gives her great responsibility and power. But then again the question remains: will she be satisfied or does she eventually want more power.

What if after a battle between the sisters it is led to believe that Kitana will be victorious in a and Mileena dies. Everyone will be disappointed because the predictable ending. Kitana returns in next gen with a new look some new moves but still looking and fighting like Kitana. But then in the ending of the next MK game it will be revealed that its is actually Mileena who was victorious in the past battle. She is posing as Kitana all this time (maybe she has somehow fixed her face already). I know that Mileena posing as Kitana is nothing new but it would be interesting if they kept it a secret from us too and we really believed it was Kitana all this time.

No offense, but that's too boring and predictable for a storyline. With so much going on, there's more that can be done for Mileena's story.

Also, in terms of gameplay, Mileena was crap in UMK3 and MKT. However, she was god tier in MK2 and high mid tier in MKD.

Mileena is one of my favorite characters. I liked her in MKD. I agree that Mileena should be involved in other things. I would like to see her in MK8. However, the MK team is once again going to have Mileena killed by Kitana. *sighs*

Mileena is somewhere in the middle of my list of characters (as far as how much I like them).

Story-wise, it's becoming obvious that the feud with Kitana needs to end, and I'm not sure if I said this when we were discussing Kitana, but I'd rather see Mileena lose the fight. I'm undecided on whether I think Kitana should kill her, however I also don't think she should turn good, I think that would be a bit cliche. I think she should lose to Kitana, but either be killed or survive, but not come back in MK8. If she were to defeat and kill Kitana, then there would be potential for her to be the boss if MK8.

Gameplay-wise, Mileena is OK in my opinion. I played with her a few times in MKD, and I found her to be pretty weak. I liked her in the classic games much better. I just preferred her MK2 and MK3 fatalities to the newer games.

Seeing that mileena is going to be attacked by onaga and the people of edenia because of her deception and what she knows, I think she would make a good spy or the like. Onaga isn't the only villian with power around here. Noob Saibot wants to rule the Neitherealm, Shinnok is lurking around being the ex-ruler of the Neitherealm, and Shao Kahn is back too ( don't have the game cube version to know his role).
So i think mileena being as snicky and sadistic, she can go with along side another villian.

And she may not want to go after kitania anymore if Baraka just ruined her plan to rule ediena, made her enemies with the dragon king, and is trying to kill her( even though she started it).

I've always loved the whole deceptive beauty of Mileena. When you first see her she looks like any other hot female video game character until WHAM! The bitch has razor sharp teeth.

Although one last fight between Kitana and Mileena will most likely occer, I'd like her ending to be focused around her attempting to take the throne of Edenia pretending to be Kitana. I'd would much rather see a final fight agaisnt Mileena and Baraka.

I really like Mileena, but am afraid to say that she wont be in MK8. A battle between her and Kitana is inevitable (no matter how predictable it is) and Kitana is most likely going to win. If Kitana loses, Jade or Sindel or Lui Kang are definitely going to avenge her. There is no chance that Mileena will survive until MK8... the predictability of the MK staff ensures she won't.

I don't know why I thought of this but what if Mileena was to team up with Tanya or something? I mean both of them are power hungry and they're both enemies of Kitana and Edenia so why not?

What they do with her can be interesting......Hmmmm, lets see.

A. She could succeed at the whole "pretending she's Kintana" thing. She finally gets to feel the power she's been hungry for. She could even go as far as using this power to eliminate one or more of her enemies through manipulation of the Edenian armed forces. (while Sindel and gang are absent) A.K.A. kill off just the Tarkata, unkowingly leaving only the leader Baraka for someone else to fight. Or come back for a final fight between them........ and one of them dies. If not both of them, in some dramatic fall into the beatle lair where they're both eaten alive.

B. The inevadible fight between siblings as it may be, Mileena seems more ficious to me, and would win the fight against Kitana. Only to become a priority (eventually) of the "whoever is left" forces of evident good. By this time she will have abandoned her ploy as the Princess and would ally in unkown deceit with someone who will give her up for their own petty wants, needs, or........ "emergencies".

C.She could ally with unliklies to kill her father, but then, Oh but then. Her purpose is truely shown and her alliance lie only with her father. But with all of these past and present enemies of Shao Kahn in his presence at once, it's a task but he and his true minions vanquish all of the female threats from past MK's in one fatal swooping assault. Yea, he can resurrect Sindel, Kitana, Mileena, Jade, and or Tanya. But why? They've all been a thorn in his side for so long and he's got his eye on a new chic anyway. He selects from Serena, Nitara, Kira, or now a very evil Li Mei.

D. Why not have her allign with her Edenian oposition? In this senario she will fight and kill Baraka alone, then fight with Kitanna and kill Shao Kahn. Why not have them bond as sisters, Kitanna earns her a sizable portion of the Edenian dynasty, hell she even gets her face fixed in this illistration. Sure, Kitanna gets her a make over???? What?!?!
Naw, nawp... No way.

She is a nice chunk of MK, no doubt. So if she does make it to MK8, she will take over Edenia. She has to get rid of her threats, (at least some of 'em) one by one, and be the last one standing giving Edenia no choice but to except her into the next game. When she gets comfy in her role as assumed ruler of Edenia, that's when she'll be attacked and only then "Possibly" be killed.

Too Many people want her head. All of her options Are DEAD ends!!
In the mean time, What they do with her can be interesting......Hmmmm, wait and see!!!
