The graphics are amazing! the design looks very good, I was expecting Scorpion not to look too distinct from previous designs keeping the yellow vest, a new mask, and some skull features. Love the bone mask, shin guards look very cool as do the rest of this costume. It's like a major upgraded MK4 Scorpion.

I still say MKDA was the best costume, very ninja-ish.

People keep calling it a "bone mask" or face hugger...looks more like the abdomen and legs of a Scorpion, to me. Especially the way it lines up with that little "tiara" thing on his brow. I also like the scorpions on either side of the skull on his belt. I wish you could make out the gauntlets. I wonder if they have scorpions on them too, or if they just match the shinguards.
On one hand, I agree with those that are disappointed that it doesn't look more "different", the way his DA and Deception costumes did. But still...it doesn't directly copy anything from the previous games, and it doesn't look identical to Subbie, and I appreciate that.

Well I like it... better than the first render we saw for MKDA, you have to admit...

If this is the final version I wouldn't be upset (obviously if I like it).
I just hope the atlernate isn't bland.

Well, I agree with you about it looking like the abdomen of a scorpion, but to be fair, what does a face-hugger look like? a giant scorpion of some sort. At least it does in my estimation.

Maybe, I don't really like the Alien movies much so I couldn't tell you exactly what a face hugger looks like anyway. But still, by referencing some movie that doesn't really have anything to do with it, I just feel like it misses the point of WHY it looks like it does, which is them trying to put more elements of actual scorpions on Scorp's outfit.

Also, dig the veins in his bicep and the tiny blood splotches on his mantle and loincloth. Impressive level of detail. I wonder how much of that makes it into the in-game graphics.

Yeah. I guess you can't fault Scorpion's sense for the necessity of branding in today's market!

We don't know. All we know is that it's a render. More than likely, given the technology that they're using, that's probably what it'll look like in-game, but you never know.

I'm not saying its a bad thing, but he does have a valid point. I still find myself scratching my head over how you guys managed to get the Batman/Sub-Zero image from Midway Gamers Day over other sites when most of us didn't even know you guys were there. In the old days (around DA), we would've known you guys were there and would have been told for months what to expect and how you'd be updating the site. Not so this year. I'm not trying to insult you guys, as I really appreciate all you do for the fans, but you have done things at a much more modest pace now-a-days.

We've haven't posted news involving scans ever since we had legal trouble with doing so. I don't see why people keep forgetting this. There is no "valid point" to what he said at all. Most news we post comes from news leads people send in. Check back and you'll see throughout our entire history we almost always have a "thanks to ___" message at the bottom, thanking the first person to notify us about whatever it was.The reason this is a respected site is because we've done what I have said for so long, without interruption or breaks, even if the news may not seem that important.

Again, you can't post scans online, it's illegal and we have been threatened for doing this before. The "no scan" rule is very, very old. If you don't know about it, then you're just a newbie who hasn't been around for all that long. I don't even remember a time, since I've been with this site, where scans have been allowed. I even made a thread explaining why there would be no news posted on the image.

....I was just pointing out that you guys have slowed down, and I wasn't being disrespectful. I was offering criticism, which was meant to be helpful and show what I felt the site's downfalls are. Is it so hard to accept constructive criticism without name calling? Your reply was articulated well enough until you decided to drag the argument into the gutter. (yes, 'newbie' is an insult. Everyone knows that) That was sad and extremely immature. And about the noobie thing? The no scan rule was implemented because of a threatened lawsuit by GameInformer. I've been around here since the gamers.com board days, so I know exactly how long the rule has been in effect. I'm sincerely disappointed that offering fair criticism is met with such hostility. My criticism was not out of line--your insult was.

But back to the point--even though you can't post images, you guys used to post a news lead and tell people to buy the mag to see the image.
