Looks like they released it because they were working on it, but now they CAN'T do anything else with Quan Chi in-&-or-with MKvsDC. I've done that before, and I'm sure some of you have started doing something, and couldn't finish for whatever reason. Time ran out, you weren't gonna get a good grade on an assignment, or you couldn't find use for something you have..ect. Point is, it became worthless to you so you gave it away...

I'm usually against dropping the ungrateful bomb, but that's the vibe overall in this thread (geez). They're not gonna get much else out of releasing this is why I say that. So idk, try to just....."enjoy the entertainment"? Maybe?

- Another thing to look at is the fact that it's Quan Chi. Member Kassanof? The MKTeam must have been able to retain the rights to the character if Ed himself released this render. Either that, or this is the last "whoo-rah" and he wanted to show this character to us one last time.

Personally, I love it anytime they release stocks/renders, and I hope the transition to WB doesn't change that they release them. It's really something they don't have to do. They probably shouldn't be doing 'em since the return on releasing renders doesn't equate to much except for hyping up a coming game.

Look, this is the e-pit-o-me of the definition of the word ungrateful. The pinnacle even. "Resenting" what I said doesn't change one single thing.

And I look at it like this:

"Here ya go fans, you already paid for it, and you were gonna pay some more for it, but here's something extra that we managed to finish (this picture), but couldn't complete the playable version. We heard you when you said you wanted DLC, so we listened, & were producing it for you. This may be the last time you see this character, or character renders in general, so I hope you enjoy the entertainment in it for what it's worth.

So? What you're saying is ungrateful on a number of levels. [1.] You don't appreciate the work that went into it, [2.] you don't appreciate the fact that they listened to you when they didn't have to (like most other franchises), and [3.] you don't appreciate the fact that you didn't have to pay for what you are seeing.

All because you can't play with the character in the picture?

Will it be MK9 or a non canon but canon sequel to MK vs DC in the future for MK?
