Good use of the props for the background. Love Kahn in the back.

I think the biggest mistake yo umade for this was perhaps using Raiden's red outfit because he's kind of drained by the red carpet in the background.
Then of course, you have the red blood, the red glow of the eyes and the Shadow Priests in purple.... there's a lot of red in it.

Like the blood work on his head.
Think you could have made a better pose for Jade mind instead of the game's.

Still, pleasing .

It's great! 5/5. The only thing I think you could do is maybe make a new sprite for Jade instead of the one you're using now.

The abundance of red was semi-intentional, namely because I didn't want his bright blue outfit drawing the eye too far away from the background, which like many of my fakes is where I put the most effort. However, looking at it now I see that your point, so I might change his suit to be that old-school white/grey from MK1 (not using the MK1 sprite thought).




Good call on both you guys for the pose. I was thinking about making a new pose but I just wanted to get this out there first and see if it was really necessary before submitting it fully.

UPDATE: Altered her sprite and changed Raiden's outfit to be blue. Tried it in grey, but I think this way looks better.

The statues look SO pasted on the floor man, those look really bad. And I don't get where the Shadow priests are, they don't seem proportionate. Other than,it's ok... I don't think it looks very original. 3/5

Yeah I tried changing the lighting on the statues so they wouldn't look pasted on, guess it didn't work. What do you think I could do to make it more original perhaps?

Well how would you describe your fake? It's inside a castle or dungeon or something, there's an MK logo on the floor, and there's two statues. And a couple of priests. Pretty boring and overdone if you ask me.

As for the priests, I dunno, I guess it's just me but their size doesn't seem to make sense to me.

I sorta see what you mean about the priests. They probably should be bigger considering they're from the Tower stage where they're normally all the way in the back of the room.
Ok you call it boring, I prefer to see it as something that could very easily fit into an MK game. I base a lot of my fakes on what you don't see in MK games (This was more of a case of what it would look like if you stepped into Shao Kahn's tower you see in the MK3 Street level). These kinda stages would fit well IMO into something like ratonmalo's MK Mugen Project because they sorta tie into what we already have in the MK universe.
Also, all those things that you mentioned went through a shitload of colour/tone/shadow editing just so they would blend together and not look like a simple cut+paste job that we see all the time (though you dont seem to think so with the statute, which is ok)

It also helps visualise how she stuck the pole in (as it's now impaled the head at a different angle).

I think blue raiden is a good call too .

Gotta agree about those priests though, they look very small to be in the foreground.

Look at the statue's flames- They don't even seem to be glowing or lighting anything at all. They look solid. And you should've given the statues shadows, they really look like they were just pasted in there. Look at the bottom of the statues - they don't blend with the floor at all.

Its awesome, but I just relized, um, whatsup with Raiden's shadow??? Its sorta split into 2.

Also like Zentile said, giving the flame a little glow would help a little.

Yeah cos he's standing in between two flames, so his shadow is thrown in two different directions.

Ok I'll see what I can do about all thsoe things you mentioned Zentile.

Hence the personalized blood on Jade's staff, and the blood on Raiden's shirt...

love Raiden's head but those statues feel a tad out of place.
I actually REALLY like how Raiden's red outfit looks... even tho u cant see the blood well... the colors look so good I'd say its worth using the 2nd jade pose on the red outfit

I liked it too but I dunno the blue makes the picture look more balanced. Idk I'm still working on a bunch of different options for the final thing. Thanks for the feedback

Very nice.

My only gripe is that of the shadow priest on the left (sprite is reversed). l never did like the reverse angle of the shadow priest.
