15 additional video bios w/kollectors addition. Roughly 15 default classic characters returning for MKD. Hmm...

When I heard about the 15 additional video bios, I was kind worried that Boon would be so excited over plugging the new characters that a lot of classical returning characters wouldn't dream of getting a video bio. But now that I see that Jade has been given such a privelidge, maybe characters such as Smoke and Sektor have a fair chance as well. There hasn't been a bio done for any of the debuting characters as of yet. Perhaps only the classics(MK1-MK4) will be exclusively done the honor having a bio done in their tribute.

Now, 15 is a flexible number for the classic characters in MKD. It's a very "give or take" thing. In no way is it a set value. I can't really say whether Reptile and Lui Kang can be counted or not at this point, but 15 sounds right.

Any thoughts?

I could've sworn it said 25 bios will be in the Kollector's Edition. And yes, I will also assume its only for the classic characters. Anyone new to Deception probably won't get anything, but hey, it could also be possible its the 24 roster characters and the Dragon King. Although, that would suck, since the new guys have nothing.

I said a few days ago in a different thread, but I might as well say it again. In my opinion, the new characters and the Dragon King bios (10 in total) will be in MKD to introduce them. And the other 15 are for classic characters on the select screen. I guess secret hidden characters are not gonna have bios.

Back to topic, I guess that only classics will get a vid, but I also thought it was said it will be 25 vids, not 15.

It does say 25 bios in all for the kollector's editon. I think they will have the 15 for the classic characters that are returning, and the other 10 for the new charcters. And if this is true, I can't wait to see the bios for Smoke and Kabal. I would assume that their will be no bios for the hidden characters because that would mean they would give away the suprise factor of finding them. Maybe you could get a bio on the actual game of them after you unlock them.

congrats temp and it couldnt be given to a nicer guy.

I have to agree with Dmitch, I like his perspetive on the bios. To me it seems most logical.

25 bios? Hmm, I must have read wrong. Then again, I probably should have taken a hint at the "additional" remark. Then I guess most of us can agree that the 15 additional bios are reserved for the classics. At least this makes the most sense to me.

BTW, I got the job yesterday. Thanks for your kind words, though.

I think it'll be cool to find out where the concepts for the characters came from. I'd be really interested to see where Kung Lao originated from along with Shang Tsung.
