A bit worried about the outcome.

This is not a complaint of any kind.It is just how I feel and if the public feels the same.
Ok so I'm not very good at posting these threads, but I wanted to address something that happend with MK:DA that I hope is not gonna happen with MK:D,and has been on my mind. With all the hype going into this game, are we going to be happy in the end or just massively dissapointed?Like if you havent eaten for a very long time and then someone gives you some bread. It is the best bread you have ever tasted...but then after a few days, you realize that it is just regular old bread and nothing is great about it.That is the best example and way I can put it.Is anyone else worried this may happen?

Guess its possible however Deception is looking exteremly promising. I have to say from what ive seen its looking to be the best so far. I was only a little kid when i first played mk1 on the arcade and with all the changes the series has gone through i either accept and adapt or forget it, not that its ever happened. i dont think personally deception will be a let down with all the new modes of play (puzzle, chess, Konquest) all the attention to detail and new stuff but online too. thats gonna konsume our spare time id say. Either way this peice of "Bread" looks temping. We will see soon enough.

I know how you feel. I enjoyed MK:DA but it could have been better. My example is chocolate. It's like when you're a kid. Chocolate is good every so often then Easter comes and you eat up until you become sick of chocolate and swear you'll never eat it again.

That's just like saying don't shop at the grocery store while you're hungry, you'll buy anything. If you feel uncomfortable with the game, rent it first.

Well, I'm going out here to say that deception is the best MK game I have ever played.
I used to play MK loads back in 1992 and have been playing them ever since. After MK4, I started to get into the Tekken series and I thought that that was the best fighting game out.
Then along comes DA, which I thought was a brilliant game, but I played Tekken 4 a lot more.
Now after playing Deception, IMO this game is the best fighting game I have played EVER.
A few may disagree, but this SHITS all over Tekken from the top of the Mortal Mountain, if not higher.
I dont think anyone should be disappointed when they get to play this.

Just remember MKDA was incomplete because they had to scrap everything at one point and start over. They had to rebuild the fighting/graphics engine. They were supposed to use the MK4 engine, but it was not good enough.
That is why MKD has gone past anyone's expectations.

I'm sure this game will not deceive true fans (.no pun int.) I mean, I'm SSSOOO happy of what they did to MK:
1. Returning unexpected fan-faves characters; Ermac, Tanya, Sindel, Kabal, Baraka, MILEENA!!!
2. New gimmicks; stage weapons/fatalities, Chess Mode, Tag Team characters, Puzzle Mode, ADVENTURE MODE!!!
3. Awesome new characters; Ashrah, Hotaru, Kira, Darrius, Kobra, Dairou, ONAGA!!!
4. Changed theme for MK Classic Characters; Raiden being "depowered", Noob and Smoke together, No more pallette swaps, Sub-Boos being a tag team instead of a fat-ass shokan/centaur/oni
I must admit, the only thing that worries me, its seeing ppl complaining and complaining on so many threads.... I mean, MKD is going to be the best Mortal Kombat BY FAR! There is so much to be hyped about !!!
My two cents.

This is the way I see it. Mortal Kombat was meant to be an arcade fighting game. Remember those days, at the arcades, we'd play strangers that were older, better, and talked a lot of shit. Why do you think MKDA was so bad, cuz barely anyone played it with anyone else. If I played my friends, I'd kick their asses, cuz they don't play MK much. Now that Deception is going to be released, it looks like a badass 1 player game as well as a badass online game. With all of these features being online, this game is going to fucking rock! It'll be like the days in the arcades, man, it'll be cool.
Peace.
