If it's her chain combo 1,1,5,4,5 then once it hits you, you can't escape it. You should block it like this:

High, High, Low, High...

OR

Low, Low, Low, High...

OR

High, High, Low~Release Block~Sidestep

OR

Low, Low, Low~Release Block~Sidestep

What MK_Legend was talking about was blocking Sonya's high/low mixups...he found a block trick that will block her attacks whether they are high or low.

firstly, Konqrr ireally would like to show you my gratitude for your help. I have been visiting this site for a while now and even though i don't frequent it as much as some others, I'll tell you that i had to go buy more printing paper. this info (especiallyin the stategy sticky has been helpful in the utmost degree. I aslo looked at some of your videos and i most say that you have helped out a lot of gamers who view them. by the time i even glanced over to them, I could say I know that combo- reason being- I had learned them on this very site. The more i learn from the members here, I have found ways to discover techniques, combos, and how to get a glimpse in my oppenents minset. My best friend and I have played the Mortal Kombat series since MK2 until MK4 which i could not even bother playing for one reason or the other, but now! I don't care what anybody says this game a has chance to revive the whole fanbase that it once was, as long as people aren't turned off through dificulty to beginners

My Best friend and I have always that we became so good in the previous games that people would say anything not to play. so when we did get a chance to play people who were renound for their prowess, they turned away in disappointment everytime. so we usually end up playing each other, which is good enough; I guess, but this game to me is about intereation with other people, just like any other sport or game. competition brings out the best and unfortunetly the worst ( ask my brother). MUCH RESPECT to KONQRR, MK LEGEND, SALVIDONBLAK, and let me tell digital ninja something. I hope I get the chance to play you someday. Of course I'm new to this site, so don't have anything to worry about, right? have you guys looked at TRMK? It's almost a waste of time. KONqrr don't worry about those chumps, if they wanna cop an attitude leave them and hold on to your knowledge. Don't priviledge them with it.

Could someone post a link to or description of the block trick that MK_Legend discovered? I searched the forums and saw it mentioned, but I couldn't find a description of how to do it.

7 I know this may sound bad but, I prefer not to pick ANY of the females. But if you play me with one The game = Domestic violence. Some may be good; moves, speed, story, or whatever but that just ain't my style to laying the smack down.

8. Do you guys know how dissappointed I am in Blaze and Mokap? i worked my but off and for what? somebody in a rush to get a game out?

the reason why sonya is so damn hard is because shes a difficulty 1 character, like scorpion, its almost immpossible to beat her if youre not matched up right.
