What if below the health bar there was something like a fatigue bar? Everytime you died a powerful move or took a bad beating it would drain and once it was all gone something happened like this:

- A blow to the head could make you dizzy
- Punching too hard could hurt and then you would shake it off, same with kicks
- After performing a long combo you would get tired

What ya think?

I think the extra character animation of shaking off a hurt fist after a long combo or shaking off a hurt arm after blocking a combo, dizziness, the appearance of fatigue after 5 rounds would be cool but I don't think there needs to be a bar for it. Those type of 'extras' should be added to enhance realism and shouldn't be a part of some dodgy gimmick which effects the actual game play. I would also like to see the fighter who looses to be a fatigued injured mess once they've lost and be stumbling around or drooped on their knees needing the victor to get them up on their feet in order to finish em off.
I lik yur idea. They fiyters geting tyred during they match wud ad relism to it and mak it seym mor intens.:)

Actually i don't think the concept is that bad, but is sounds as if this would be better suited to another game, perhaps a more realistic fight sim type game (i don't mean virtual fighter type fighting sim, i mean a true simulation, with 100% accurate realsim).
I think the idea would completly screw Mortal Kombat up, and make it inconsistant, unless it was a fmv sequence (and even then it probably wouldn't work too good), but that would be a helluva lot of extra work for the MK team.

I think that they should put in body damage; if a character's stomach gets slashed at, for example, a long cut-line should appear. That'd be good enough for realism, at least IMO.

Yeah, instead of being slashed in the stomach but the cut appears on your face. ^_^
