Forgive me as i am not metaphorically a well of DC info.
Seeing as all the MK characters and stories take place in the same world or "universe". Like, Scorpion and subzero are aware of each others existance and are in the same existance.
Does this apply to all the DC characters aswell? Are Batman and Superman in the same world? as well as every other DC cahracter? or is DC its own set of unique universes for every character unlike mk?
thanks

Yea, but my first mental opinion thaught that justice legue of america was just some spinoff where they montoged all the characters into some super franchise.
Good to know its all in the same universe, makes it easier to understand. I REALLY HOPE "V" is in. Hes the only character from the DC orientated side that I absolutely want.

What continuity is V from V for Vendetta in? I know he's Vertigo, a DC spin-off, but I'm not sure if any continuity recognizes him (which would be a shame.)

V for Vendetta was published by DC, the characters are not part of the regular DC universe that contain Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc.

Most likely we will not. I think they're only going to focus on the core universe characters.

Correct; they don't own the character.
There are distinctions to the different universes in DC comics.
Typically "universe" would be used to describe one of the current fifty-two universes (and Earths) that make up the modern "multiverse."
What people close to the comics can forget is that this distinction might be lost on people looking at film characters like V, who are published and distributed by DC, but not part of their multiverse.
It would be a misnomer to refer to V, or characters published by the Vertigo imprint, as being part of seperate "universes." Vertigo doesn't share a cohesive bond, even though there's overlap between various series, and even stories with the central DC Universe.
On the slipside of that, DC acquired Wildstorm comics, using full ownership to incorporate that company and it's characters into the DC multiverse (Earth-50).
The same happened in the past when DC bought companies like Fawcett Comics (taking ownership of Captain Marvel, Black Adam, Captain Nazi, etc) and Chalton Comics (owners of; Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, The Question, etc).
However, the latter characters were all incorporated into the DCU proper.
Some of the details in the Wikipedia entry might be cause for confusion, but if you stick with the current Fifty-Two worlds, you should be able to stumble your way to a better understanding.

DCU is/was actually a multiverse, there are several different versions of Batman and Superman ect to destiguish between the gold and silver age versions of these renowned chracters, I suggest you look into "The Crisis on Infinite Earths" to better explain DCU.
