any way, most companies don't keep secret of the product they are releasing. I dont think keeping MK:D for GC a secret would be a very good marketing idea... imagine GameStop's shock when they open up the shipment and there are tons of MK:D for the gamecube...


Imagine how pissed of the GameCube owners would be if they went out and bought PS2/Xbox for MK:D and then the game was released for the system they already owned.

If everyone on here signed the petition, Boon isnt going to be like "hey, everyone wants it, Nintendo isnt going to pay us to make it, but hell, lets just invest a third of our time into a game we arnt going to profit from or advertise for".

As DMK reported yesterday the next installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat Deception will not be released for Nintendo GameCube. IGN reported that Midway confirmed that it has no plans to develop a GCN build of Deception. "Mortal Kombat: Deception is not under development for GameCube," a Midway representative said.

I for one am not a fan of Game Cube. In fact I dislike it a lot. But that is because it doesn’t cater to my tastes so this isn’t really going to affect me. However sort of see it being unfair that Game Cube owners will not end up getting MKD.

But on the other hand, the MK: Team would have to remove lines of code from the game engine (which someone already has mentioned, and I’m sorry to the person who originally stated this fact but I can’t remember your name), Midway really didn’t make all that much money off of the Game Cube version of deadly alliance anyway, and Nintendo is coming out with a new system next year anyway, not saying that I have a strong feeling that it will end up on that one, but you never know.

And I’m sure this has been mentioned a lot two. Midway has bad blood with Nintendo anyway, I don’t think I have to mention why seeing as how it should be extremely obvious at this point.

actually just gotta correct u there, next year nintendo are releasing the DS, duel screen, its one of the three "components" along with the gamecube and gba, the next nintendo console is scheduled for the same time as the next sony and microsoft ones, which atm is 2006

Well, i would be very very disappointed if the gamecube version won't be released...not only because they force people to buy a new console for a single game(and that sucks really)...but i don't understand why they started with NO PC VERSION of mkda and now NO GAMECUBE VERSION of MK6??? I don't know...but the serie will lose alot of fans with this move.
Yes, i'm talking like that because i own a GC and i was waiting mk6 so happily and now?

At least they should release a PC version since multiplayer is rumored to be in the new game.
