Hey everyone,
So I was working on the Achievement (or trophy for PS3 owners) "Arcade Master", which is beating the game on very hard without continuing, and it took me quite a few tries (I was using Baraka) to get it. I decided to try and find an easier way to accomplish this feat (Dark Khan is very difficult to beat on very hard) and I think I found at least one technique.
Select Darkseid (press RB or R1 on the character select screen) and use his two hit combo Attack 1, Attack 1 (Attack 1 = X for 360 or Square for PS3. It is a very fast combo and you can just use this over and over again.
Usually you will pin your foe in the corner and either make them take damage to death or quickly build up your rage meter from them blocking the attack. Once your rage meter is filled, go into rage mode (LT+RT/L2+R2) and continue using the same combo. Also it helps whenever starting the match to get the first attack, I usually press forward+attack 1 to get the first hit.

I've done it twice, once with Baraka and once with Kitana but this way is waaaaaay easier...although, it is very cheap
Glad to hear it worked for you and thank you for the additional insight!

thanks that was probably a cheap way, but it worked. lol. Just to add something I would avoid Sub-Zero because he was a bitch with those slides, So choose DC side when battling.

Tell me about it they made Sub-Zero waaaaaay over powered in this game . Like Kabal in MK3 but damn Sub cheats to no end.

Ok so it ain't THAT hard to beat the game on Very Hard without dying?
Any tips like change the options to only 1 win?
How many shot it took you guys to get the Trophy?

Ok, sure, you could set the rounds to only one as well but it sounds like you are a master Mortal Kombat player if you don't believe it's that hard to beat on Very Hard without continuing. This was aimed at the audience that cannot beat this game on Very Hard (No Continues) with little effort. The first time it took me probably 6-7 tries with Baraka at two rounds. Good input on the one round setting!
