Actual arcade stick, or PS2 controller?

I can custom build an arcade stick (Wooden box made from MDF, with a plexi-glass cover... real arcade parts including joystick and buttons ) that would be EXACTLY (as in the same parts Midway uses) like a Mortal Kombat arcade machine

which do you guys think will be better for MKD? That or a PS2 controller

Arcade sticks all the way baby! You won't catch me using a feminine pad for a fighting game grin.

arcade stick if your a competitive gamer and like to go to arcades and big tournaments, but if not just stick to what you got, but if you get good at the arcade stick, you can go to arcades and hustle people for money and shit, my friend was going to do that with ddr, but then some one got on there who was like feakin god and he changed his mind

well when i play older mk's i use my aracde sticks.. im not sure how my arcade sticks would work w/ mkda or mk deception..
