Here's some info I just found. If you want to read it first-hand, go to: http://www.geocities.com/hey_hey2/mk6.html Enjoy! Confirmed?: MK6 isn't OFFICIALY confirmed yet, but many of the developers (on December 13, 2002) said there would be one in the future. Its in the works right now, but not much has been done. When is it going to be released?: "Early 2004 is a possibility" - This was said by John Vogel on December 13, 2002 - This can obviously change. For which systems?: "I think the next game is set for the next systems... but that is a management decision" - This was said by John Vogel on December 13, 2002 - This isn't the final word, obviously. Which Characters?: Reptile - John Vogel said: "i hope we can get rep to look more like a dragon in the next game." and "he'll more likely transform into a dragon.. which is cooler than devolving any further", Alexander Barrentine said: "Reptiles ending has him being ripped apart and reformed as the Dragon King. I'm sure that when he returns, he will be bigger and badder than ever.", Steve Beran said: "reptile will definitely evolve in the next game." Dragon King - Alexander Barrentine said: "He likely will be showing up for the next round." New Character #1 - John Vogel said: "the 2 characters for MK6 I've seen are new", and "When you see the new characters, you're gonna freak. Assuming all goes well." New Character #2 - John Vogel said: "the 2 characters for MK6 I've seen are new", and "When you see the new characters, you're gonna freak. Assuming all goes well." Dairou - He was going to be in MKDA, but was cut. The MK krew said: "Time didn't allow his inclusion in this version of the game, but maybe next time?" How many finishers?: new features for the next game will probably be more of the fancy stuff (fatalities). I think we nailed the normal gameplay. - This was said by John Vogel on December 13, 2002 - Looks like they learned their lesson for having each character have 1 fatality. Least they got the gameplay "nailed" down. Any other info?: John Vogel said: "There hasn't been any lock downs for characters yet on the next game." "I'm sure more weapons would be added to the next game if we decide to keep weapons." "MK6 will probably have a subtitle" "Not that anything is final, but if I were to choose right now whose endings were real, i would start by saying that Shang and Quan's are probably not real." "I don't know what will be available for E3. not much is done yet." -"The Parry move.. slapping hands and moving out of the way,... is done. We could probably use it in the next MK" "No one has sat down yet to figure out who's returning." Mike Taran Said: "Without a doubt there will be another MK game. We are working on it as we speak...." "As far as the barriers in the stages, they cannot be broken to expanfd the fight area. Maybe we will have time to develop something like that in the next MK" Robert Blum Said: "There were a few technical things that were keeping us from doing the cloth-ripping this time around - but I'm sure we want it in the next one." Alexander Barrentine Said: "We discussed going online for this round, but the market was really only just forming at that time. It's definitely something we will consider for the next game."
