Everyone is so hyped up about unlocking the "Super Unlockable" characters, problem is, they probably all ready are unlocked if you've found Raiden, Liu Kang, and Shujinko. In Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance: Nitara, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Frost, Jax, Kitana, Raiden, Reptile, and Cyrax were unlockable characters. You fought, got koins, and unlocked them in the Krypt. This principle was modified a bit for Mortal Kombat: Deception. You play Konquest mode, run around looking for chests at certain points in the day, earn money, and unlock them in the Krypt. Havik, Hotaru, Kenshi, Kira, Li Mei, Sindel, and Tanya can all be unlocked without completing Konquest mode (Jade and Noob - Smoke can be unlocked without even going into Konquest mode...you just buy their koffin). Liu Kang, Raiden, and Shujinko, however, you have to beat the Konquest game -- and have to play it even after you beat it -- in order to even remotely get a chance of looking at these three people.
I hate to say it, but I think Liu Kang, Raiden, and Shujinko are the Super Unlockables. 'Cos you have to go to a great length to play these people -- great lengths usually mean extraordinary means and extraordinary means usually translates as super. Like I said from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance: Nitara, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Frost, Jax, Kitana, Raiden, Reptile, and Cyrax are all unlockable characters -- Blaze and Mokap, on the other hand, are hidden characters. The real question we should be finding out is how do we get the HIDDEN characters...I think we all ready found out who the Super Unlockables were before the game even came out...

They are part of the main 24. Boon has said there would be more than 24. Until something proves that statement wrong, thats what everyone is going with. If Liu, Raiden, and Shujinko are the fabled Super Unlockables, which I doubt they are, it's a HUGE let down, and total bullshit seeing as A) We've known about them being in the game for the LONGEST time. And B) It's no secret what-so-ever, because people found out how to get them in no time. Also, Boon had stated that the extra characters would not be apparant on the main select screen. (Example; Blaze and Mokap from MK:DA) The "Super Unlockables" we want out what you see as your "Hidden Characters". LOL I guess it's just two differen't views of the matter.

I know there are more than 24 fighters in the game. What I was saying is that Liu Kang, Raiden, and Shujinko are probably the Super Unlockables and that more fighters are hidden characters. I was drawing a diffinitive line between Super Unlockable and Hidden.

I think the peoblem we keep having is that they think people are looking for more and more stuff to unlock. Running around poping open chests and paying for coffins are not secrets. There was nothing difficult or unexpected in any of it. I think what fans have been craving and what Midway is not getting(at least on the last game) was that people want secrets. Something more satisfying than a chest tucked away behind some hut. We want challenge we must continualy meet to get what we want. In MK2 if we wanted to fight Jade we had to both know that we could only use kicks on the match before the question mark, but we also had to be able to do it. Then do it again to get it agian. Something with some substance to it. There is nothing to opening a koffin or some chest we already knew was there. Its one time and then its over. Give me a secret like the MK2 days then I will be impressed.

Dude, what the hell was the point of this post? Honestly!?
All you're doing is arguing semantics. When "superunlockable" is said on this forum, we mean the same thing as your definition of hidden. Just because you don't prefer the term doesn't mean -we- mean something different by it. We say superunlockable, you say hidden. We say po-tay-to you say po-tah-to.
Same thing, big fat honkin' f'n deal!

FiremonksPain hit it on the head.
There's a good chance we might see some hidden fighters in the game you can only access through skilled gameplay.
I'm holding out for Karasu from the Grid to make an appearance still, as he was one of the characters I suggested on a wishlist thread ages back as someone whom I thought could make an appearance that would make sense and fit in with the rest of the MK cast, more than ever they are hinting at him being in game at least in Konquest mode.
"The Ninja Karasu does not frequent this realm.." Spoken by the Tartakan warriors in Outworld, right before you get Mileena to train you...Cool.

And does anyone have Ninjutsu as a style? I've not played with many characters in arcade mode as of yet to see, nor unlocked everyone yet as I play Konquest mostly so I dunno....if nobody has that as a style, I'm a bit curious as to why...unless someone has it we've not seen yet?

See guys, even the forum director believes there are super unlockable/hidden characters. He's probably seen more posts than any of us! If there's anyone we should listen to on this subject it's this guy, and he agrees with the optimists on this one!!
