I've been thinking about this for a while now, and after making the list in the 'top players' thread, I'll post this idea now and see what you all think.
you'll be surprised how many players avg the same amount of wins. what i was thinking of doing recently, is changing from 'first to 10' format to something like, amount of wins before the player that's behind hits 10. How high can you go? 15? 20? 30? 50? that would be interesting to me at least.
that way a list like the one that was made in the other thread would be a lot more accurate, 'cause there's a lot of players on that list that avg pretty much the same, they're all in one group, so how do you figure who is ahead of the other? i think this way would be easier and more precise in figuring that.
anyone wanna try that with me?

Eazy...all this says to me is that nobody is giving you enough comp. Winning has become boring you are now interested to see how much you can win by. I think for most of us this is not necessary. however, i can see how such a system of scoring would keep you more interested in the game.

I am down, but you know this would only work with you because you are the max difficulty at this game and the only one who would be able to play that many games.
My problem is i get burnt out. I get bored with my characters and i go to new ones and i don't play serious with them.
I havn't played in a week so right now i am excited and am playing well. Hope it lasts! I get better the longer i stay off in a sense!
weird huh?

@ Maverick
I wouldn't exactly say that.
example-
Mav vs Atari
10-8 Mav. you could end it there or...
keep going to see how far you can get away from him by the time he hits 10. if you end up at 13-10 Mav, then you would have a 'personal score' against atari of 3.
if he caught up to be at 10-10, then you could consider a zero or even score and finish the series by seeing who gets a 2 win lead first just for closure's sake.
and, if turns out Atari hit 10 before you and he ended up at 15 before you hit 10- then your 'personal score' vs atari would be 5 under.
it's definitely a gamble for the guy who's behind- it's a chance for him to catch up or be left waaayy behind if the the other guy gets a streak going.
a great example Mav is when i was up against you 9-0 the other day, then you pulled 3 wins in a row before i got the last one to end at 10-3. had we kept going, who's to say that you wouldn't have gotten more wins between my own to where the score would've ended up at like 10-15 or something? instead of being 7 under, you were 5 under- see what i'm saying?
anyway, it's simply an alternate way of doing things, it's always nice to have options. I'll probably try for a while with those willing.

Yeah man, eazy interesting concept but I think most won't go past 20 since that's such a huge amount lol. 30, 40 and 50 +
The most matches I've ever played was to 71 against Killer B a few years back, we played for like an hour and half good stuff but man it took a while.
