Depends on what kind of air kombat in terms of design. In MK:A you just jump (on an unsuspected enemy jumping towards you) and tap the same freaking buttons and it does the same quick dial-a-combo with lousy and uneven animation.

In this game you can see characters like Sonya do an uppercut into a air-kick into a pro-airkick with a quick grapple. You can also see people like Superman uppercut the opponent, freeze them in place, kick them around, fire lasers at him, blow him back, grab him and knock him down. Batman throws his shuriken, kicks opponent to air, does a few punches, and lands it with a leg-grab.

In this game it has a kind of air-kombat but again it relies heavily on the special moves (just as the rest of the game and combo system does) so it gives you access to make your own combos on ground as well as create your own air combos by implementing the special moves and grabs.

Well, I loved the air kombat in MKA but I dont want it back, we all need a new fighting style.

But, there seems to be some "air kombat" in the vids we have seen, but its mostly because of stringed combos. Right?
