Unless Mileena killed her and that's what Sindel fights for, the appearance of the other two ladies suggests that Kitana will be in MKD

I never thought of that Scenerio .. Kitana has always been considered Immortal though, being 10,000 years old .. What could kill her now? However, I hope they don't do what they did in MK4. She was captured and held prisoner .. ugh .. Thank God I had a dreamcast and was able to play MK: Gold during that difficult time .. lol

I want her to return, but I actually think, that maybe with the return of Sindel, Mileena and another female warrior yet to be revealed, Kitana might not come back.

It makes sense that with Sindel back, Kitana is obviously back, but just maybe, the return of this females is the reason why Kitana is not back, or why she might not be back.

I'd like Kitana back. As said, with Sindel and Mileena being there, it is likely that she would be back. Kitana would want to protect her mother and she'd be having to fend off Mileena as usual.

Id love to have Kitana back but then again from what i have seen they have some crazy people in the game already , so far it looks like the MK team is giving the fans exactly what they want

It does seem that way .. Baraka, Mileena, Sindel, Jade, and Kabal were prob the most mentioned characters wanted brought back from what I can remember. (There were several topics on that a while back after MK:DA was being released.)

I hope they continue with the trend though.. I'd love to see Rain brought back as well. Kitana by far is one of the more popular characters and has the most unique weapon of all the fighers (IMHO).

I wanna believe she will be in it just for the fact she is so popular, However, as we saw with Liu Kang .. It doesn't always matter.

Guess the Kitana fans (hehe, no pun intended) will just have to wait it out and see.

Kitana will probably return, because a lot of fans want her back and she has a big part in the story. And with Sindel and Mileena back, it'd be interesting to see what Kitana does.

For what it's worth, Kitana is said to be confirmed for MKD by the plot canon guide at the Kombat Pavilion, but I don't know where they got that from.

I think Kitana will return. Maybe she could finally go evil and make a deal with someone to get rid of her mother so she could rule as Queen?

Kitana is and always has been my favorite fighter. She was probably at her best in MK2 and I hope they can give her more moves to work with this time around if she comes back. You know, with all these classic characters coming back, it would be a shame to leave kitana out. Id also like the idea of her going evil. it doesnt seem to me that she has a purpose being on the side of good.

Unless she goes insane from all her friends (Goro, Liu Kang etc) dying, but I doubt that.

It has been confirmed that all the returning characters are givin all of their classic moves back as well as some new moves that have never seen before.

she'll probably be in it because in the chess game you see her as a piece and since they explained it when you square of you enter a sort of arcade fighting mode and then it's decided who wins and so.. so if you pick kitana as a pawn, I think you can fight as her.. then again.. they are MKDA figures.. so..

But I think she will, her story line has evolved a lot, and aint just about Mileena or Liu Kang now. She is leader/ heavy influencer of two of the games largest groups, Edenians, and the Shokans now, as well as a good ally to earth, so I think she will a good bet as a returning character.

Kitana was evil? I don't think so. She posed as an assassin for Kahn (in MK2), but in fact she helped the warriors from Earthrealm.

Shao Kahn took over Edenia when she was a child and he raise dher as his own. In Kitana's MK2 ending, they say she had recently learned the truth about her past, meaning that for at least half of her life, she was a loyal, ie evil, assassin for Shao Kahn.

That's why Kitana fights for the good guys now. She's trying to make up for the evil things she did in the past.

There is a very strong possebility that she will return. In fact if I had to bet on one character, it would be her. Besides melinas prescense, kitana is on the chess board.

Now for the real question, where the hell is smoke? LOL

Nah, being a servant of evil ruler doesn't automatically make you a bad person. Besides, there are many levels of loyalty. There's no evidence that Kitana was evil or did something bad. An evil person wouldn't fight for the restoration of good. You can't be bad yesterday and a noble person today. Things just don't work this way.

However your theory is legitimate and I won't argue against it, since there's no official story about her life before MK2. But I can't accept the assumpion the she was evil, because Kahn was bad and she didn't know her real parents were good.

It is true there is no official proof, but it seems odd to me that she would be referred to as one of Shao Kahn's "personal assassins" unless she has at some time or another killed people at Shao Kahn's request.

I agree, that's why I say Kitana turned good when she realized that Kahn had been lying to her her whole life, and THEN fought to restore Edenia. Which is why I say Kitana fights for redemption, as well as bringing peace to Edenia.

That's more a debate over what makes a person evil and why, and I don't want to argue either.
All I say is that Kitana fought for Shao Kahn until she realized she was on the wrong side and turned on him, becoming a "good guy."
