Anyone beat Max Difficulty Puzzle?

My girlfriend is trying to beat max difficulty puzzle. She's on the last guy, Sub-Zero and he has 94% difficulty.
Any suggestions on how she might beat him? I mean, she's pretty good... but the damn guy builds up his combos and shit so fast that she can't possibly keep up. We want to beat it though, since we heard there might be something after....
Oh, I guess if you beat Max Difficulty Puzzle you could tell us if there is more to it than just the stupid picture too.

someone on the ign boards said that if you beat the last guy in puzzle on max that you would get to fight ashrah afterwards. of course most of the people on the ign boards are little 5 year olds so i'm not sure i believe it.

Yeah, that's what we're trying to do. We're stuck on the final guy though. 94% difficulty. We've got it on pause now so that we can break for the night. My girlfriend has gone over 100 rounds against sub-zero and lost every one. She's good... but I think he's humanly impossible to defeat.

Yeah it took me awhile but I just beat Puzzle fighter on max. I beat it without using a profile to test out a rumor that you fought ashrah afterwards. Nope.
After you stop the opponents initial barrage, they basically kill themselves. I have the most luck with Nightwolf early on, but then later you dont even get a chance to use your super, so it will take a little luck.

last guy on max difficulty isn't even at 100%? Hmm... eh, oh well. How about the Dragon King on max... is he at least 100%?

It took about an hour to do it, but my friend and I eventually beat puzzle kombat on Max. As stated before, nothing happened. I will say that we had it on one round victory, so if being on at least 2 round win is a condition for getting Ashrah or whoever, then that could be why nothing happened. And as for Onaga on Max arcade mode, yes he's 100%.
