anyone else think the wounded face skins are pointless?

I don't even know if they're gonna have it in Deception but I'm assuming they will. I guess it is more realistic but when you see your character do their victory pose they should look good. Anyone else agree with me??

The beat up faces certainly look realistic and thats the problem.
Personally I think they're pointless to a certain extent because MK has always been about unrealism, I've just looked in the MK graphics are cheap thread and everyone defending MK's graphics are using the whole idea of MK being "fantasy" and unrealistic because "that's what makes MK stand out from other fighters".
they are a brilliant idea though and hopefully they'll be used again in Deception as well as them being more clearer to see during fights.

i love the face skins.. thats the best.. reminds me of art of fighting... plus you can see them in game.. but only if you have mabe a big screen and at least some s-vid cables.. like i do... anyway.. i love them..
I love them. I remember every single friend or family member of mine who played the game, and at the end of the round, when the winning fighter gets a close up, he has the face all banged up and bloody, and they all went ''whoa, that's the coolest thing in the WORLD.''

Hey
I think they are great. It different and to an extent it shows more of a relistic way to Mortal Kombat, ill be dissapointed if they dont continue it.

I don't think wounded faces are pointless, since its cool to beat uo a person in a fight and see the results. In battle I can see when a person has wounded faces. I thought it was pretty cool. I hope the MK team goes for ripped clothing. Overall it adds to the presentation to the game.

I think they are O.K. and should be in deception but with abetter way to see them, BTW, If they're gonna be putting ripped clothing too then won't that mean you can cut off Millena's clothes and see her naked?!? SWEET!!

what makes a game good is attention and representation of detail. for instance the detail of battle damage on the faces, in addition an option to turnoff the damage would obviously make the game better in your opinion. this keen eye and mind for detail will provide the ultimate experience for all gamers. there is no limit to detail.

Man, Everybody and their Mama's Agree with me that The Bruised and Bloody Faces should come back

I like the fact that the face skins get bruised, but you are right that you don't see it until the victory pose. But I think that the MK TEAM did not finish what they were doing in Deadly Alliance so mabe it will be finished in Deception.
What I mean is that. I am pretty sure that it the game was suppose to have ripped clothing and more. So mabe that is what they are working on in Deception. You can not have ripped clothing without the bloodyed up faces. So I hope it stays in Deception and includes the ripped clothing.

no they aren't pointless. I love them because I tease my friends by saying I beat them up bad and they're all bloody. Whilst I haven't been touched and am laughing.
For an improvement on this issue. Body damage needs to be incorporated for example ripped clothing, cuts and bruises all on the body.

They should keep the wounded faces. Why would you want mk to go backwards, and remove what has already been created. Though they do need to do the whole body instead of doing just the faces. I always thought that it was stupid that you fought a huge battle, and you face is all bruised up, but the rest of you is perfect

I guess I'm kind of outnumbered although it would make it a little better if you could see it during the fighting. Also the tearing of clothing would be really cool, I was kind of disapointed when they didn't have it in DA after they said they were going to. Maybe I went a little far when I said it was pointless but I was playing DA and I saw Frost all beat up and was like "damn she used to look so good, now look at her". Anyone know if the ripped clothing is going to be in Deception?
I like them. Also while the concept is realistic they don't look super realistic. Some of the cuts and what not are brutal, so I say it fits with MK well.
Plus I say it's more or so a honor now if you get to see your character perfect or near perfect when the match is over. The better you are the more nicer your character will look in the end.
