I actually found that if you exit one of those challenges and restart it, it'll give you a different character. I managed it with Scorpion by doing:
Spear, 2,3,U+4 then juggle with 2,2,CS,1,3,3,3

All you have to do is jades last combo on her first fighting style or was it second to last, the one that ends in Up x its a 10 hit combo but it juggles at the end of the combo then u can stike two times with the juggle and u get 12 hits, i two found out u can change fighters in that mission because at first i though i had to use noob smoke for that mission and i was like hell nah, i also had kabal i love jade she was just like i expected a big combo person, but kabal i thought his hookswords style would be way better then mavados abd his fighting styles would be like in the 15 hit range, i am so pissed off with that garbage ass kabal my favorite fighter no more.
