Apparent plot hole in Konquest....

Does it strike anyone else as strange that while Shujinko looks pretty young in all the Konquest pics and footage we've seen, but looks old in the actual kombat pics, the other characters look the same in Konquest as they do in the rest of MKD (or MKDA)?

I mean, there have been pics of Shujinko meeting Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Mileena, Kitana, Bo Rai Cho (obviously), Kabal, Jax, and Kira. While I suppose Reptile, Mileena, Kitana, and Bo wouldn't look much different, since they're from outworld, why would the Earth warriors look like they do now?

Hopefully there will be a logical explanation for this, if it's at all possible, once the game is released. But at this point, it looks pretty strange to me.

I agree. I thought it was weird to see him fighting Mileena as she looks now. She's supposed to be a clone created by Shang Tsung and is not very old at all. Yet we see her in Shujinko's younger days.

yah i noticed that too so who knows probably won't have any explanation so bleah... and shujinko is supposed to be back around kung laos time? isnt' that like 500 years ago lol... he looks old but not that old ....

There is another hard part for the team.

What do they do with Konquest after this game?

They obviously can't create some ALL-NEW character to go through Konquest with in MK7, it'd be ludicrous, so this seems to be a one-shot deal in this fashion.

There could also be the fact that the appearances of the MK characters is more or less a non-canon bonus. Well half canon, half not. I just think of them as generic characters in overglorified costumes. tongue

Actually, all the characters weve seen in konquest ar in their own time, kitana is 1000+, jax was seen in a "Modern" setting, and the others are all probably in their respective times. we might even meet the original sub zero!

Yeah Im betting that Konquest spans for a long time and you'll see characters in their time. Oh and for the previous poster, there has already been a screen shot of the original Sub-Zero in konquest.
