I liked the map screen that showed who was next and on what stage in DA. However, i think midway should change it for Deception. I'd like to see myself being able to choose a stage to go to next, sort of like a "path" you take to the dragon king. But you can only choose between two stages, like a fork in the road - not like choose between all the stages.
I think thatd be cool, becauee then you have a little bit more of a choice in arcade mode. I tend to get bored because you choose a fighter early on and then EVERYTHING after that is left to the computer (stages, whos next.)

i disagree. i think that the fights you have to take on have to have some kind of link towards the story of the character, which would obviously end with fighting the dragon king.

yeah i agree with you that there should be a structure to how your character finds his way to the dragon king...but honestly, all characters are the same in ARCADE mode, they all start off in the same way. It's not like there is any story in how the stages are laid out. All im saying is that you choose after the first stage, sort of like star fox for N64, you can go left or right...
what if you can choose to be bad or evil??? going left means you are going against the light world warriors, and going right means you are fighting against the evil sorcerers and such?

to elaborate further, if you are playing as scorpion for example and you have beef with quan-chi would it make a difference if you fought him in the weapons room or the acid pool? either way you are going to want your revenge back...and by having a choice on what stage to fight him in will give you the choice of how you want to finish him (that is if the weapons room has a stage fatality and is IN deception, same with the dead pool)

i wouldnt care, eaither was would be good
That's why there needs to be "Arcade Mode" and "Story Mode". Two seperate modes. In arcade mood you could choose what path you want to take, one path may offer a greater Koin reward but also may be more difficult. Then for Story Mode, it just follow their story exactly. You fight precisely who they fight in the story. I also think there should be twists, such as if you don't finish Quan Chi off with a fatality and you're playing as Scorpion, he would have a different role in the ending such as coming and killing you. We've seen this happen in Killer Instinct 2 where you're endings would be different depending on if you killed a certain character or spared them. I think this would add to the overall gameplay of story mode. By the way, I did like how the arcade mode was set up in Deadly Alliance. I want to see it return, just with the additions I mentioned.
