What if the characters in Deception all had some kind of armor plating on certain parts of their bodies. I'm not talking about midevil type armor, or samuria armor, just something on their bodies to not only save them but deliver a more powerful blow to the opponents. This is a mode that I have seen only in fighting game so far, and I think it worked out pretty well.(The hardcore fighting game fans already know what game I'm talking about.) The game is....FIGHTING VIPERS!!! All the characters had some armor that could be broken off and revealed more of the character's clothes(although some characters never wore that much underneath.)
What if in MKD or any other upcoming MK game, the players could knock of each others armor. There could also be a move where you brake out of your own armor. It would give you more speed and manuverability. You would be able to pull off quicker and more devistating combo links with this "break out" move. If people got near you when you broke out they would be thrown back by the explosion and shrapnel from this manuvere, taking a bit of damage.
The rounds would have to either be longer or each player has a set of three life bars per round, and only when their final life bar was depleted would the round be over. This would ensure that the rounds would be long enough so that the armor could be worn down and eventually broken off if the "break out" manuvere wasn't used. There would be an armor icon underneath the health bar that displayed how much damage the armor recieved through out the match. The meter would be shaped like a person, when either the bottom or the top part begins to glow then that part will soon shatter. You can still use the "break out" even if part of your armor has been shattered.
However, like with the ups, there are the downs. The "break out" manuvere can only be used once per match (2 of 3) rounds. If you use it in the first round you wont be able to use it in the second. If your armor is completely knocked of you can't use the move.
When your armor is knocked of that part of the body is more suseptable to damge, there for you will take more damage when your armor is stripped. Your attacks also can become weaker because you have nothing for that extra power.
So use this move wisely. You can beat a fully armored opponet with it. But they can then wail on you in the second round because your "break out" has disappeared and they're fully armored so they do more damage. They can win the match by breaking out in the third round. Becareful when you use this move.
