Sorry, but the August issue should have SOMETHING in it.
Instead they talk about Splinter Cell and Grand Theft Auto, gee I never saw that coming.
I don't ask for much, but they could have done something. At least they did something on Pikmin 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, Ratchet 3, Jak 3 and Paper Mario to name a few. The magazine is good, but no MKD in August? C'mon now.
Anyway, your thoughts?

Oh, sorry, there was ONE thing.
They did an interview with the new CEO at Midway as of 2003, David Zucker. I read it, it was somewhat interesting, glad to see Midway making better games other than Mortal Kombat and doing well.
But, nothing on Deception.

*Sigh*
Dude not everything that GI has to cover has to be about Deception. There are more important and more highly anticipated games the MK coming out, such as Halo 2, World Of Warcraft and Jak 3. Plus, since Deception is coming out in October GI might have a blow out special in the September issue.
Honsetly, I think that your only pissed since GI never dedicated so much space to Deception as they did with Deadly Alliance.

Here they come I love it.
I was stating you the news of what was in the magazine. Don't give me that shit, honestly.
I'm not crying about it.
No use in starting a thread to help people.
And yes, if they have some big ass page about a horrible game like Grand Theft Auto then yes I can ask for something on Deception. It's been 4 months without any helpful info from GI, and I'm sure GTA or HALO 2 is in every magazine up until now.

Ok, dude, what the fuck did I say to get you so upitty? All I ment was that GI can't cover all the games but that's why it's not the only gaming magazine out there. Plus it won't cover games it doesn't get new info on, such as Deception. Do you even know why, Halo 2 and GTA are always covered?
1) They're more popular then MK
2)There's more info on them

Sorry, I'm just getting really tired of people pissing and bitching and moaning about Deception not being covered every single month by GI. Plus, Halo2 wasn't covered this month. And if GI did get new info on Deception, all the better to put it into one blow out article then little foot notes.

Ya know the May issue of GI had 4 pages of MK:D. Also, Halo 2 and GTA San Andreas (Your opinion on GTA is also pretty rare) are 2 very big sequels so Rockstar games and Bungie want to give out as much info about as soon as they can and not as much people are as exited about MK:D because many people thought the series was ruined after going through Deadly Alliance(i didn't think so). There is your reason. I for one am being patient about Deception and the only info i want to hear is if any of the robots will be in it. But the wierd thing is, i didn't have to wait for 2 years cause i got into the game at April 2004(Lucky me) but still, the release date is close so please wait but maybe the magazine will have more info in September or October

You can't really blame the mags for the lack of information. If Midway, or more specifically Boon, has nothing that he wants out there right now, that is not their fault. Besides, what else can really be reported on? We already know for the most part who the characters are, the arenas, the death traps, how konquest works, puzzle fighter, chess kombat, some tidbits about online play, we have even seen a few fatality's. The only thing we don't know is what each characters full story will be. So, what else are you looking for?

That's strange because the only negative review I ever read about MKDA was in EGM. And I don't remember anyone ever saying the series was ruined by it. In my opinion, the series went in the shitter with MK3, if anything DA resurrected a tainted franchise. There are plenty of people excited about Deception, but it's not going to match the hype of a Madden, Halo, or GTA. And I'm sure Boon wants to keep things quiet anyway. Despite good sales and reviews for DA, the series is still on rocky ground. You don't want to oversaturate the market with hype too early on with almost 3 months still to go before release. Constant advertising/hype this early could turn people against Mortal Kombat, that is part of what killed it in the first place.

Too late. We already know way too much about Deception's features, the only things in the dark are some of the character's stories.

Exactly, so there's no point in giving anymore coverage. You let the features known and give some glimpses. I think they've done a fine job of not overhyping themselves. Now the fans on the other hand...
