I just want to say that i have been into MK since the Beginning. I'm probably not as diehard as most, but still it's my favorite fighter out of all. I would just like to say to Midway (Ed Boon And Co.) Please, Before you move on to the next big change in the MK Series. (after Deception) Cram every single character that has been all Mk's, up through Deception. All Bosses, hidden and side Characters, arenas into the game engine of Deception. Basicly like Trilogy.

I know it sounds stupid, but my friends and i love to play out the series and use all charaters, and it sucks to have to start up a different game to play as one or two that weren't in an up to date MK. The bosses expecially.

Trilogy was the best for 2d and i had to buy it 2 different times because i wore it out. Now that we are in 3d, I believe it's time for a new version of a 3d Trilogy on the Deception game engine.

Thanks to Midway for Mortal Kombat, and thanks to all that have to listen to my whining.

'Til all are one! Finish Him!

i gotta agree with wanderer on this one. I really didnt like trilogy, most because it wasnt developed by Midway so it ended up really unbalanced. I guess if they put a huge amount of time into the all the character translations and they were all balanced, with all the extra goodies then maybe id be interested. but i dont see that happening.

I know the conversion was a bit poor in MKT, I am looking at the prospect of having every character like in MKT and it only being a fighter and online. They can leave out chess and conquest modes and soley make it a pure Karnage fighter. I am sure it would appeal to most to have a roster of at least forty + fighters to learn and play against online. That is the big thing i was trying to get out. I know it would be a lot of work and i wouldn't mind if some characters had similar fighting abilities as long as it wasn't an exact copy and palette swapped.

I would love to play as Shao Kahn in a 3d realm and just pound someone with the hammer and or be Goro and have all 4 hands with a weapon and just Kut loose. Be able to have Shang Tsung change into people again and or morph into his other previous incarnations.

Trust me, i know it is highly unlikely that this will happen, I work with Poser 5 and to map and render figures in fighting and just about anything, takes a lot of time and patients.

All of this was just like a wish to express my thoughts. I know it more than likely will not happen. One can only wish.

See ya

I wouldn't mind seeing a trilogy including characters from MK4, MK:DA and MK:D so long as it used the same graphics as was used for the MK:D game. This means all of the MK4 characters would have to be updated, with new fighting styles and new moves. To be honest I don't see this happening unless they plan to include all of the one-shot wonders from MK4 in MK:DA in some way. (i.e Fujin, Reiko, Shinnok, etc.) Note: If this does happen, please, please don't let anyone else do it but you guys at Midway.

A good title for it, which has probably been discussed before, would be:

Mortal Kombat: Domination

ok Trilogy was the best for 2d but I doubt every character could be in a MKT2 because of the space they have on a disk maybe for PS3 it will be possible but I doubt it will be out in time before the end. What they should do is put all the characters in it from after MKT like MK4 DA and Deception that might work.

Yes, All charaters throughout the MK series up through Deception, on the Deception game engine. I'm not really concerned about the costumes of previous Kombatants (although it could be a good charater select/button varied option) that have been on multiple games. I am into having all the name plates. Some could be a hidden/playable character just as long as they all were in the game. Even to be unlocked somehow by online gaming if that's possible.
Why would anyone say this idea is impossible.. it's not impossible.. its MKT2 damnit. The impossible part of it all, really, is getting the MKTeam to spend the time on such a title. Granted.. if they took years to do it and took their grand old time making sure all elements were in tact.. yea.. the Doom3 of fighting games.

I always liked that idea and hoped that they're gonna make one. Select screen will be kinda like in my sig plus the other MK:D characters.

By the time MK7 is completed, there should be a updated 3D model of almost every essentail MK character. So right now, it isn't possible... yet.

As long as it's done right, I'm all for it.

dummys where have u been??? it wouldnt work with trilogy ppl but with mk4 MKDA and mk:d???

if you didnt notice, if u add every alive fighter in Mk4 MKDA and MK:D u haver the whole trilogy roster.

if u add MKDA people, with MK:D u have EVERY damn fighter,..... all they would need is to make fujin, rain, reiko, jade, kai and styker.

jerek is a filler, sheeva is dead and so is goro and who cares, because there is a new shokan so just use him to play instead since he will probably be the best one.

motoro was a subboss, dont care to see returning sub bosses. moloch was also gay.

mokap and blaze plese no a waste of space and time.

so add all MKDA, MK:D, and mk7's remaining people (they needed to save at least one ninja for mk7)

rain, reiko, fujin, jade,
shao khan(playable good guy also)
kai(with his new look from MKDA krypt, which means they WILL use him for future games)

i doubt that kintoro died plus people want him back, he should be a subboss a shokan again and kintoro WOW waited like 11 years to see him again, it would be a HUGE shocker to see him.

kintoro, a new centuar, and the chimera(mk:D mid boss with 3 heads) should be the 3 mid bosses, then shao khan, then the DK the final boss,.

that would kick ass, and the DA they just random they arent in the boss status, they are just like regular fighters. and before the first out of 3 mid boss battle, there is a question mark, where u can fight lets say a new ummmmm person(not a damn ninja or female ninja again NO!!! maybe fight fujin and unlock him there, and also fight noob saibot and maybe fight smoke through doing stuff before the question mark and by doing somthing special in the portal stage.

no it should not have every damn stage ever, if u want to see returning stages in 3D play the chess kombat with MK:D.

there should be new stages, a new PIT, and new PORTAL stage and mid boss and final boss stages are a MUST. and the others can be a fighters own stage or something like that like example(subzero has his ice stage in MKDA).

it shouldnt have the dead fighters back and shinnok shouldnt be in the fucking game either!!!

and it should have actual storylines in the ending and it should have an intro and take place after the MK:D or after the last game that was made before this trilogy.

it shouldnt bring back dead people and give them a non cannon storyline just to put every fighter in that game. EXAMPLE in MK trilogy they brought back the classic subzero just so every fighter in mk history could be in that game, and gave him a really fake ending, i mean the thing wasnt even non cannon it was just plaing fake LOL.

it shouldnt be treated as a trilogy, dont have every stage from the other games(they suck cause they are small and have no deathtraps, you wont be used to playing those crappy MKDA stages)

new stages, maybe like 4 new fighters, actual intro, returning fighters have new fatalitys(showing that it isnt just a "trilogy". and dont name it trilogy name it something like MK:domination like somone posted.

that would be good for the game, maybe not 3 mid bosses and 2 final bosses, but i like that idea, and i love the classic question mark and it needs to come back, with a hidden fighter that is really damn fast too.

It's not meant to be like MKT persay, other than the fact to have all the name plates. If they would chose to remake the 2d MK Arenas so be it. My interest is with having all the fighters ever. Mocap can be left out, i agree.

There were several players that didn't make it past MK3-T that would have to be remade and would be great to play on a Deception game engine. I didn't mean to have every differnt costume or subzeros other brothers involved.

As in one of my last rants. A char select/button varied command for a different costume would be cool. Maybe even earn them through out game play.

Yes, stories for past players could hinder the game, but from what i have seen, they can make up just about anything to incorporate why they have returned. It might be lame, but again, for me its about the name plates and gaming not so much as a killer story line.

How can u think it's possible thats a lot of shit in one game I doubt they would have room think of it like 50 characters maybe more all new arenas death traps stage Fatalities 2 fatalities per person then all the fighting moves thats a lot of info they would probnably have to take it too 1 fatality which gets boring like DA.

You can fit 4.7 gigs of data on a dvd. I am thinking pure fighting, no chess or Konquest. You could still have the Krypt if you wanted it. Plenty of room for Characters, Arenas and hidden stuff for home or online gameplay. Also with the use of the harddrive, it's possible for updates and such if you want to get more in depth.

Now with Deception, they need to try and make it able to play online against both systems and if ported to the PC too.. I know there is a difference with coding, but it still would be cool to beat up on an Xbox or PS2 user of your choosing from one system. z:o

Actually, DVD-9 can store 9gb of data

There are a fair few games out there that are not on DVD-5 disks because they have more than 4.7gb of game information on them.
