Trying to see how effective the Breakers are. I think 99% of the time it just happens accidentally for me. Just happen to be hitting the breaker buttons at that time.
How about anyone else?

I used to do them accidently but now Im pretty good at using them when I mean to only.
With that said I think breakers are this games only flaw...it looks especially sloppy when a character can break a combo while he is sideways in mid-juggle.
I just wish they wouldve come up with some better way to break combos.

i dont really find the use in combo breakers at all, i've never needed to use them, the only time i do them is by accident, same goes with blocking... perhaps i should keep my controller higher then in my lap... but eh, why strain? *relieses that was the laziest statement ever*, but combo breakers are near worthless, i thought neijin's were ten times better.

I for one use my breaker by purpose.. Very rarely do I do it by accident.. but them I have the Xbox version, not sure on how it would be on the PS2... Althought it would had been great to have the breaker as a code/move..

I like combo breakers, for fighting purposes, visually they look terrible, where they just appear in that form when they are in the air. But they truly help, I mean, it saves me a ton of times. Those 51% damage combos with Jade are killer.

I think get rid of the breakers. Gonna take a page from Kung Ku Movies.
Instead of a breaker or a reversal, a hold or freeze where both opponents get locked together ( Not sure if I saw this in another game or just the movies.)
The opponents look liek they are struggling to get free and attack again. Then each play has to pound an attack button (or buttons) to break the hold. Pretty much, Test your might within the fighting. depending on who pounds better, attacks the other opponent. Could possiblly be a draw where both opponets fly backwards.
