Press Start.

doesnt work, pressing start just selects their default costume

I do it all the time. ( I have XBox). Press Start to select their alternate outfit. Press A to select their regular outfit. If you press Start and it selects their regular outfit, it means you havent unlocked their alternate outfit in the Krypt.

i know for fact i have unlocked some of the alt costumes
pressing start does not work it loads their normal costume
i think it has somehting to do with using the big (original) xbox controller

I'm having the same problem only on the PS2.
It's start or X for PS2. It use to work before I unlocked Liu Kang's second outfit, not I can't get any of the alternates to work.
Anyone else seeing this?

dude u definetely have to press start. it's very possible that u didn't buy the costume. maybe u got the key but didn't buy the actual krypt. go to the krypt and just make sure u did buy it. if u did, i guess it's a glitch or sometin. and it has nothing to do wit the big controller cuz i use it too.

I have the same problem, I unlocked Sindel's second costume yet when I press start it won't select it. I have every single persons alt. but for some Reason sindel's doesn't work. I even went back to to place it's suppose to be and the chest is open. I'm going to make another profile and get it in that one so that maybe it will work then. Because I have three profiles on mine right now (mine, my gf's, and my brothers) and only I have unlocked everything but all of them can use all my unlocked stuff, even when I'm not signed in, except for Shujinko's moves. So I figure if I can the costume on another profile, I'll be able to use it.
