Think about it - in all the history of Mortal Kombat, when have you seen a character wear more than one primary color. Either between alternate outfits or characters as they go from one MK game to another. And I'm not talking about the different shades applied to the same characters in the same costume. Every character has their color: Mileena - pink; Sub-Zero - blue; Ermac - red. Visit -NIGHTWOLF-'s costume thread for more examples.
The only counterexamples I can think of are Kitana's, Kenshi's and Kano's alts in MKDA. Other than that I propose that every character wears a characteristic color. Sorry if this sounds like I'm stating the obvious, but I hope it will clear up the mystery of who the girl in green is. I don't believe it is Tanya.
If anyone can come up with any other examples of characters wearing more than one primary color or color scheme, please say so. That's it.

Shang Tsung who wore blue and yellow in MK1 and had a black and yellow scheme in MKII and MK3, and had a n essentially red and gold scheme in MKDA.
Jax, who started off with an essential black and red scheme for his trousers, then turned into purple trousers, and then a red and green outfit for MKDA.
EDIT: I forgot to mention Baraka, who wore his traditional red and white jersey until MK Gold, where his standard costume was elbow armour and knee armour with red trousers.

^Touche.
I hope that Tanya is not disguising herself as Jade, because that would be dumb, if that is part of her story 'disguising herself as Jade'. But who knows that's why the game is call Deception for some reason, I just hope she is not trying to disguise herself as Jade!!.

Touche to some degree. Non-Ninja characters have traditionally had fairly changing costume colors (Shang, Jonny Cage, Kano, etc.) However, Ninja characters traditionally never change their primary color scheme. This is primarily due to the fact, that there is more room to play with non-ninja characters and still have them recognizable, there is almost zero chance of changing a ninja's color scheme without changing the chacrter in the players sub counsious. Think about this. Everyone recognizes Sub-Zero as blue. If he were suddenly beige or Red he would in essence be a very new character and wouldnt feel right. However, a Character like Kano is recognized by his eye, so no one really cares if his suit is black or white, he still has that kano feel. All ninja RELY on their classic colors to keep them identified as those characters. Having a brown sektor, a gold jade, a blue scorpion or a red reptile would be illogical.
The character in the picture is obviously Jade. She will not be on the main roster, but will likely be an unlockable character, as she is in the prison. Having a Jade Green Tanya, with green Jade stones on her arm, and dark skin is in my opinion pointless. A green tanya is jade except for name and fluff.
Im suprised that people are even willing to accept that they took a well known yellow character like tanya and gave her the perfect color scheme of another well known green character, jade.
IF we saw a screenshot of a green ninja, would we assume its scorpoin, because they have looked similar in previous games?
