After some long deliberation I've decided to post up the first draft of my character concept for the next tournament. Took me awhile to come up with him and I'd like to thank TomTaz for some of the advice he offered during the creation of this character. I hope you like it.
Name- Dymune Domina
Age- unknown
Family- Father, Lucifer; mother, Alural Domina
Allignment- Evil
Eye color- Brown (glows red when angry)
Hair- long, black and red
Skin- Tan
Facial Hair- Down along the side of his face his facial hair begins and travels down underneath his chin. At the very center of his chin a thin spike of hair points down.
Outfits-
Outfit 1: Dymunes hair is in a sectioned ponytail which reaches down to his belt. He wears two-layered shoulder armor with a spike on the top of each. An armored plate covers his chest down to the very last set of abs right above his crotch, the plating is layered. A cloth hangs down from the shoulder armor around his back that reaches to the middle of his back, underneath this cloth hangs a cape that drapes down to his calves. He wears a bracer on each arm and arm bands underneath both shoulders.
Outfit 2: His hair is free and drapes all around his body. He wears a sleeveless, hoodless robe with a low cut v-collar that has netting connected between. He wears smaller bracers on each wrist but has the same arm bands under each shoulder. Two straps make an x shape on the front of his body and wrap around his torso. His boots are knee-high and his pants are baggy and tucked into them.
Styles-
Devil: A fighting style developed by Lucifer himself. Only he and his son know it. It is a quick powerful style that allows for powerful hits along with quick evasion. The concentration in this style is more with the upper body of the fighter using the style.
Demon Hand: Developed by Dymune while he was in the seclusion of the unexplored Outworld forests. It is faster than devil but the individual hits are not as powerful. To balance this out, combos can be initiated and if the first attack connects the rest of the hits fire forth in rapid succession making it difficult to block.
Damnation Blades: Weapons that Dymune forged out of the hatred and darkness of his own soul, using his newly realized demonic power to create weapons vicious enough to match his own soul. This style is quick and has several combos.
Weapon- Damnation blades: These are dual weapons with blades that come out of both ends of the hilt. The hilt itself is not the handle, a handle branches off to the side of it which the user holds (think strider hiryus weapon). The hilt extends from the end of the fighters fist to the end of their elbow and is strapped to the users fore arm. The first blade is a 2 foot long serrated one which originates from the end of the hilt which touches the fighters elbow, it is blunt on the end which would touch their arm but the other side is razor sharp. The second blade is a foot long dagger-like blade protruding from the opposite end of the hilt. The fighter has one on each arm. The wielding of these weapons is in essence an extremely modified version of Muay Thai.
Special moves- (done in PS2 command format)
Darkness: Dymune holds his hand in front of his face then jerks his head back a little as the screen goes black and Dymune rushes toward the opponent in the dark to connect a hit with the confused opponent. After it connects the screen goes back to normal. (back, foreward, down, circle)
Hells Explosion: Dymune falls to one knee and hits his fist to the ground as a fiery wave spreads out in a circle around him. (up down square)
Shadow- Dymune disappears leaving only his shadow to be seen moving. He cannot hit or be hit while doing this move. The player can travel to any area of the stage and appear there by hitting the circle button. (forward foreward down triangle circle to reappear or automatically reappear in 3 seconds)
Dark Pulse: Dymune creates a circle of four balls of dark energy and fires them foreward in rapid succession (down foreward square)
Fatalities-
Heed My Words: Dymune slowly chants something inaudible as a portal in the floor opens and dark shadowy arms reach out clawing and scraping at the floor. As this happens the opponent starts holding their head as they stumble, hearing Dymune speak to them. They walk towards the portal and the arms rip the opponent into pieces, one ripping out their spinal chord, another tearing half of their face off, and so on and so forth. They then drag the opponent into the portal as Dymune kneels in prayer as an evil grin comes over his face.
Dymunes Birthright: Dymune sprouts black demonic wings and his hands become claws as he walks up to the opponent and jams his hand into their chest. He flies up into the air with the opponent a few feet and his eyes glow deep red as he backhands the opponents body to the floor still holding their heart in his hand. The opponent writhes on the floor with his hands hovering around his chest as he screams loudly, blood running from the whole in his chest and forming a large puddle on the floor. Dymune takes a bite out of the heart and then does a powerful pose in the air with a deafening scream.
Weapon Fatality-
Eternal Damnation: Dymune takes his blades and in a spinning combo cuts deep into the opponents throat, chest and stomach, which bleed profusely. Then with the dagger-like blades on the end of the weapons, stabs them into the opponent and lifts them up in the air. The blades begin to glow red as the opponent catches fire, then falls to the floor in a charred skeleton as it slowly is enveloped in a black mist.
Hari Kari-
The Suffering: Dymune breaks his own arm then, inverting it, stabs himself in the stomach with the two foot serrated blade of the Damnation blades. As he falls to his knees bleeding, he rips his arm completely off and drives the blade upward, making a slice from the wound in his stomach up to his lower jaw, slicing it in half as each half dangles off his head and he falls to the ground in a puddle of blood.
Story-
Lucifer ruled the Netherealm for many millennia before being overthrown by the fallen elder god, Shinnok. During this period of time Lucifer engaged in an undocumented affair with a woman in Edenia. Her name was Alural Domina, she was a princess whos beauty was legendary and body was unclaimed by any man. Lucifer grew infatuated with her beauty and decided he must have her. He proceeded to visit her in her sleep, leaving his realm, and took advantage of her for many months. Alural conceived his child during this time. At the surprise and realization of this, Lucifer ended his lustful visits with the beautiful princess. The discovery of her pregnancy lead her reputation to be tarnished, even her family rejected her, calling her a whore.
Alural fled from her kingdom to a small village far from her home, it was here that Dymune was born. Being all the once great princess had left she held him close to her heart and loved him with overwhelming affection. Dymune himself showed nothing in his physical appearance leading to the fact that he was the son of the devil himself besides the fact that his eyes glowed a crimson red when he became angry. He inherited his mothers beauty and charm. His mothers considerable coddling of him, though, resulted in his hate for her, feeling like he was her prisoner. He prayed day and night to be rid of her bondage, his father heeded his call. At the age of 15, Lucifer kidnapped his son and took him into the Netherealm with him. His mother searched day and night for her lost son, after a year of hopeless searching, she ended her tragic life. Lucifer raised his son and even taught him to fight in a fighting style he himself developed. Dymune became quite the warrior under his fathers tutelage but strangely despised him. He was jealous of his fathers strength and resentful for his superiority over him.
Lucifer did not get to raise Dymune too long before Shinnok lead an uprising against him for control over the Netherealm. In a last act before Shinnoks impending victory, Lucifer transported his son to the unexplored Outworld forests where he would be safe. Dymune saw this as a betrayal of sorts and grew with a deep-rooted hatred for all living things as a result of the loss of everything within his own life. Having enjoyed the thrill of battle he trained in his fathers style within the woods and, in his fathers foot steps, began developing his own style which he named the Demon Hand. As he grew older he soon began to become aware of the dark power which was his birthright. He learned to bend darkness to his will and utilize an explosive power. Using this power he forged two weapons out of his hatred and darkness called the Damnation Blades.
One day, he finally walked into the civilized world around him and became aware of another power he possessed, manipulation. He could send words deep into the soul of a mortal and lead them to do anything he desired. Most easily succumbed to his power and he took great delight in the chaos he created amidst mortals as he led them down the path to their own self destruction. Brother killed brother, child killed parent, kings turned on their kingdoms, and wars were fought at the heeding of his words. The Elder Gods themselves decided to put an end to this and trapped him within an ethereal prison originally designed for rogue Elder Gods of extreme cases.
There Dymune waited, reminded of how his father had superiority over him and resenting the Elder Gods for their superiority now. His mind dwelled on the retribution he would gain if and when he escaped this horrid cell. The opening of the portal to the heavens by the Deadly Alliance many long millennia afterwards inadvertently opened his cell, releasing him. He quickly escaped back to the realm of Outworld, changed from the time he was there previously. He watched as the Dragon King arose and watched the beginning of an epic war. This is perfect, Dymune stated in his deep haunting voice as he smiled evilly.
He would use this war to destroy all that the Elder Gods protected, every realm would fall and eventually both sides of this war would destroy themselves. Then he would unleash the Netherealm upon the heavens themselves and destroy the Elder Gods leaving the realms in a state of anarchy and chaos, an existence in which he would fully appreciate.
Ending-
Several of the mortals he faced were not as easy to manipulate as he thought they would be so he faced them in combat. He greatly enjoyed the bloody battles in which he participated and continued forth, turning allies into foes and killing any who were not easily controlled with his own hands. He appeared before the Dragon King and after a long battle weakened him to the point where he put up no resistance to the words of Dymune. The Dragon King ripped off his own head and fell to the ground bleeding as Dymune laughed.
The realms knew times of darkness as many wars continued after the end of the Dragon Kings war. Dymune finally achieved his ultimate goal and released the force of the Netherealm upon the heavens. The Elder Gods stood no chance. Dymune created his perfect order, or disorder rather and took part in the chaotic existence of all living things which remained.
Arena-
Burning Forest/ Netherealm Gates: In the middle of the uncharted Outworld forests, where Dymune lived for a portion of his life, the fighters battle amidst an incredible inferno. The fire creeps closer and closer to the combatants as the fight and if they are knocked into it or are touched by the encroaching flames they catch fire and suffer damage. If Dymune is not in play, his silhouette will be seen in the background, arms crossed and eyes glowing as he watches intently.
Eventually a fiery portal will open to the side of the arena and if a character is knocked into it they fall to the molten rock floor that lay in front of the gates to the Netherealm itself. Oni, shadows and all manner of suffering creatures encircle the combatants as they continue their fight. These creatures can reach and grab opponents doing harm to them if they get too near. Eruptions occur at different areas of the floor and can cause damage to the fighters if they are standing upon the area where the eruption originated, being knocked into the air and burned.
Arena Weapon- Inferno Chain: Located right in front of the gates of netherealm. Many of netherealms inhabitants are chained and tortured even by the means of their bondage itself. The handle of the chain is cold steel but every link of the fiery chain burns with the rage of the netherealms wrath.
Stage Fatality- Welcome to your New Home: If a kombatant is knocked into the gates of the Netherealm the body of the kombatant busts through the gates to the other side. A huge burning hand comes from behind them as the scream in burning pain and clasps around them, crushing their bones as blood flies out. It then drags them deep into the netherrealm as they scream helplessly.

This is amazing. I love this character. You described the style well and I like that you created new ones.
His attacks and weapon are nice and well done. I can tell some thought went into the weapon. His powers are interesting and render him pretty powerful.
The bio is well written, but might be too long for some. It's a great story. I love the resentment and anger in it.
And nice job on the arenas and everything else!

dude wonderful description on the clothes and moves and stuff, I didnt read the story cuz im lazy and im not a big fan of lucifer and junk but I bet it was just as good, and by the length of it that seems to be the case. sweet stuff but it would be awesome if you made him really dark like a dark elf look or something, then he would look truly evil (just my 1.999999 cents)

thanks for the feed back to those who posted. Perhaps I did make the story a bit lengthy seeing as I've only gotten 2 responses. Oh well maybe I'll get some more feed back or maybe I won't. If anything I'll get a clearer picture of what people think when I post it up for the next tournament.

I was actually trying to wait until that died down to post this up, maybe it was a big mistake on my part but whatever.
Posting this, a mistake? Hardly.
You know my thoughts on this character already as we have discussed him while talking in MSN. I will say however that it is evident that a tremendous amount of thought went into this character concering all areas (Look, Weapon, Fighting Styles, bio, and stage). Also One of my favorite parts of this character is that his fighting styles are completly unique and created by you. Major props for that fact alone! You've done a superb job here DKakaR!
