Character Hazards and Character Deathtraps in the Prison Stage

Looking at the Prison Stage and the interaction where the characters hold the opponent, I thought itd be nice if they managed to could have incorporated a little more interaction.
The characters in the cells could do more than just hold the opponent.
For instance:
Cyrax: He could impale the opponent with his Pulse Blade giving the opponent the disadvantage of health loss. He could even fire his bombs into the arena every so often and youd have to avoid them. As the round timer depletes, he can fire them more rapidly and that way youd have to evade more.
Frost: She can freeze you (thanks for that Toxik
) or maybe just freeze your arms to the bars trapping them for a few seconds. Youd still be able to kick the opponent though.
Reptile: If he was in there, he could act like the statues in MKDA and spray some acid on the floor damaging you.
Other characters could kill you giving the stage a potential deathtrap. Kitana could slice your throat with a fan or Stryker could do his Bomb Fatality if you get to too close and then retreat into the cell.
Maybe theyll surprise us and have put something like these into the stage. What do you think?

Considering the amount of thinsg they've put in already, they most likely won't have. But it'd be nice to see. It's best not to expect it though.

Yeah, you're right.
I don't believe I've ever disagreed with one of your ideas. It helps that you tend to be leniant. You just provide the groundwork and allow everyone else to add their two cents. It helps your ideas grow and expand. Always worth a look. :D

I like those ideas, man! Kanos would be cool to see. I think that could provide an instant deathtrap rather than damage. We'd get to see a rendition of Jareks Laser Fatality that way.

I could see Sonya doing a leg grab through the bars in the prison. It would be the same as a simple grab but it would add more flavor to the environment..
Shang Tsung has been seen in the Prison. It would be nice to see him morph into your opponent and perform one of their moves on you... Or for a bit of an ironic flavor, using your moves on you.

Tgrant,you always come up with some great ideas.Now if only the arena was like that,i'd be a pretty excited person.The interaction did look a bit stiff in the vid.The ideas you implemented would be a grand welcome from mk players i'm sure.

I agree way to go guys you brought alot of great ideas to the game keep up the work i wish ideas popped in my head like that TG lol....well i think its great for offline but online it could cause alot of lag with all the pixel movements of all the characters im even anxious to see how the prison stage will be online....

I like these ideas too, although Sonya doing a Leg Grab through the bars might not work. She could grip you with them maybe.
Shang using your own moves against you would be pretty cool!

Thanks, dude! I havent seen any of the interaction in video footage, but from what Ive heard, it could do with a little more depth. These ideas would add a little more to the arena and a lot more fun too.

I doubt there'd be that much slowdown online with some hazards. It'd be the same for other stages otherwise. But, if there is, then there could be an on/off feature for interaction maybe.

I love that idea. She could hold your neck with her legs and maybe:
1o Kill you by twisting it.
2o Just hurt you for a few secs.

Nice! It would be great if all of the characters did something different..even better if they had MULITPLE things to do. Like Sonya for instance..she could do her kiss of death special through the bars, tempararily stunning who ever was unlucky enough to get to close..or, instead of just holding your arms, she could Take out a Kali stick, grab you from behind (holding you to the bars with it locked across your throat.

Those are some great ideas Tom. I liked the Kali Sticks one the best.

Sadly this won't be fixed for the final build. I think the idea is awesome, but a little too busy. If you think about it, there'd have to be a LOT going on, just on this one stage, to have it pulled off sucessfully.
Basically whoever could knock someone into the wall would win the fight, heh

I don't like this idea. I like how it is at present. The characters in the prison's cell aren't supposed to kill or brutalise the fighter, it's not a death trap! Your opponent is the fighter who supposed to kill you. Imagine, 2% of your "energy" left, you've been impale by Cyrax's Pulse Blade and you "die"...who win this battle? Cyrax or your opponent?
The kharacters in the cell's prison just hold your enemy to ->help

Well, you're right.. Some of the other arenas in the game are no different though.. Falling Cliffs, Yin Yang Island and Dragon King's Temple (Among others) all spell death if you're anywhere near the edge of the arena.

I understand where you're coming from but it would just be another hazard in the arena. If you were in a prison cell watching people fight, would you be idle or get involved? It just depends how involved the fighters are.
Although, this does bring up a good point.. If all of the characters can do something different (Some can grab you, some can hurt you and others are death traps) then it may take a lot of time to get used to what in the background will pose a bigger threat. I know that the game has neon colored highlights to differentiate the hazards but not everyone plans on using them..

I like the idea of Sonya using the Kiss of Death. I never thought about that. She could cover a small area with it and if you step into it, you become stunned. I love the hold idea! That would kick ass!

There wouldnt be too much. Not all of this would be happening at the same time. Youd only have one thing happening at a time and then that danger would be gone and replaced by another. I doubt it would all be constant. That could prove to be a little challenging and annoying.

I understand your concern and it is a good one. I can see how thatscenario would be frustrating. Maybe the coding could be worked so that Impales wouldn't be done if you had less than 50% health left and then the impaling character would only hold you then.

As I said, the hazards wouldn't be happening all at once. And besides, it's not guaranteed that you will even be knocked anywhere near the bars anyway, so no one may get the opportunity to grab you at all!

that pic of jade n kabal where there inside the cells theres like water or suthin comming out from celin... and tgrant those ideas obviously wont be in the game since the games alrealy done... but i like ideas alot tho
