I doubt many of the background and character concepts that weren't used in MKDA will be in MK6, cuz now with the backgrounds, they're usually involved with the story in one way or another, and I'm sure some of the unused ones had a story already, so they won't be used for a new story, and same with characters, for example Dairu already had a story that may not really fit MK6.

It wouldn't be too hard for them to change a character's story, or a background's story for that matter to fit the story line of MK6. I could do it. They could just tie their stories from MKDA into what is going on in the story line now with the Dragon King. They could talk about past events (events that took place before or during MKDA) if they needed to in order to make their story solid and to have it make sense. I would bet that they could change Dairou's story easily, and I hope they do because he would be a good character for MK6. I hope they use Elder Demon Baphomet as well.
