I'm new to this board so I apologize if this discussion has already been done to death. Here is my list of characters and some explanation as to why I hope they are killed off by the next game...

1. Bo' Rai Cho - We're supposed to believe a drunk Outworlder with a pot belly trained Liu Kang to save Earth? He just can't be taken seriously in a game concept where most things should be more on the serious side.

2. Moloch - I hated this creation. Drahmin was acceptable at best, but Moloch was just stupid to me. I understand the un-playable "General" or "Sub-Boss" is generally a monster (Goro, Kintaro and Motaro), but Moloch was just cartoonish.

3. Johnny Cage - He has just been worn out and there really isn't anymore depth to his character. He has died, came back, went to the heavens, and came back again. Cage is a classic character but he has been around long enough.

4. Raiden - Like Cage, Raiden has went away and came back way too many times. How many times can they make him an elder god and only for him to relinquish his status before the elder gods get tired of fooling with him? Raiden has been around too long and its time someone (Ashrah or better yet, Fujin) take his place as protector of the realm of Earth.

5. Sonya/Jax - I do feel one of them should stay but at the same time one of them needs a break.

6. Hsu Hao - I just wasn't a fan of his. Don't really know why.

7. Stryker/Sheeva - Each have small potential (Stryker maybe joining the USSF and Sheeva joining Sindel and Kitana to avenge Goro's death) but I don't think these two will really be missed if they are killed off.

8. Mokap - 'Nuff said.

9. Kenshi - I'm sorry but I just don't buy Kenshi. He has a decent story behind him but he doesn't need to be anything more than a warrior who failed against Shang Tsung.

Now here are the ones that need to be a part of it that as far as I know aren't confirmed...

1. Kitana - I completely agree that she needs to be elevated into a main character and now is the time. I'm not a fan of using Kitana but her character is one of my favorites.

2. Jade - I guess it's just the huge fan of Jade in me but I really think she could now be a key player. Upon Mileena's return, Kitana's best friend Jade emerges to take out the evil clone. I just think that the best friend of a marquee character like Kitana needs a little more character depth.

3. Smoke - For reasons I stated before. He was Sub-Zero's best friend and Sub-Zero needs allies. I was a big fan of Frost and I think she should at least be included in the story here.

4. Reiko - Is there something more to his "What If?" ending on Mortal Kombat 4 than meets the eye? Plus, like the next few characters, needs a stronger story for someone of his stature (commander for Shinnok alongside Quan Chi for the Netherealm).

5. Jarek - With the USSF, Mavado and the Red Dragon and former Black Dragon member Kabal's return...Kano needs some backup.

6. Fujin - see Raiden above

7. Blaze - If he was a protector of the Great Dragon Egg and the Dragon King will be boss this time, Blaze's servtitude should be rewarded. Or the Dragon King's unappreciation could make Blaze an ally to the side of good.


also...I really hope with "every character appearing in Konquest mode" that they can give us an update on all the characters like how Sektor came back, who Sareena is, what Meat was all about, and whatever in the world happened to the most elusive characters of them all...Kintaro (missing since MK2) and K/Chameleon (only appeared in Trilogy).
