I bought a cheap controller when I got MKDA, cause I of course need 2 controllers for MKDa. And if the cheap controller is plugged in when I start up MKDA, it wont start, but when I unplug it the game starts immediatly, and then I can plug it in again.

Anyone else experienced the same thing?

yeh, I posted this awhile back.

I took the game back first time and got another one. When it didn't work the second time I took the controller out to throw it into the wall but suddenly the game up with the 'do you want to display in 60 hz' thing, and I quickly shoved it back in.

Yep. I bought one of those cheap controllers, Pelikan one I think. The game would load as regular, but when you tried to push any button it wouldn't answer, if it would, it would be later than when you commanded it.

I tested it with the GameCube system options and it worked perfectly, then I realized that only with MKDA it didn't work. However, I had already called the retailler and told him about the issue, I returned the control as damaged and he gave me my money back. If he tried the control with another game and worked for him, he must be thinking I'm a lier and not to sell me things again. grin

I took MKDA with me to prove the thing to him but it wasn't necessary, though.

The same thing happened to me i have a mad catz controller with turbo function on it i thought i was the turbo functions on the controller that would restrict my access to the second controler port in mkda, it only seems to happen on mkda. it really pisses me off cause i really wanted to play 2 players not sure what eb would say if i took it back after 5 months of having my game cube...

Mad Catz controllers are straight up garabge. They should be disavowed (spl) to make ANY controllers.
