I saw online on a newswire report that there is currently a class action lawsuit against Midway claiming that they withheld information from their stockholders and stuff. Here's the link:

Midway is already going down the toilet with the trade commision investigation and now this. IF things keep going like this, midway may not be around to make mk6. Hopefully they will sell the rights to it to Namco, or Eidos.
Who would you guys like to see own the rights to this franchise and why?
I already posted this matter to the mods as a possible news update thingy on the main page, but i'm not sure if they wanna post shit like this.

Hell no I dont want to see other names like namco (pet hate) and eidos to have the MK title. Midway is a big company maybe they will be able to outdo their lawsuits by having more money. Money is everything in lawsuits. But if not Ed Boon just needs to take the MK Franchise himself and create his own studio like John Tobias and work on the MK game.

That's all jim-well and dandy, but the problem with that is independant devolpers have problems getting a publisher, and most of the time when they do they sometimes only release it for one system. A la Tobias's company only making Tao Feng for XBox.

If Midway is in trouble, I'd look for them to use MK6 as a 'flag' game...as in, 'let's get this out now so we can make some sure money'...tho if u think about it, I feel they did the same with MK:DA...tho this is not the forum to discuss that...my point being that if they are in real trouble, they probably will pump out whatever they can and especially MK6...I never want anyone to ever even touch MK...only Midway...tho I don't like the fact that Midway 'rushed' the last game (amusing since they had like 3 years), nor would I like to see MK6 "rushed", but if they are in trouble I can see it happening...
On a side note, I tried to sue Midway after seeing how shitty Night Wolf and Stryker were...

Wrong, UREIKO.
John Tobias started Gigante Studios, third-party (I think) exclusive to Microsoft.

Yeah it is Studio Gigante, after MK:SF John and Midway parted and as many know john went to form is own devlopment company, and they are third party, however they must have signed some sorta of agreement with Microsoft, how many games, or exact exclusivness im not sure of.

I dont think this is true.Remember a news article reported that Microsoft was going to buy Midway? In my opinion I think that was a attempt to bring both Microsoft and Midway down.Since the media hates MK and Microsoft.

it would be nice if Ed made his own team like Studio Gigante, but Microsoft would probably buy them out too. Which doesn't matter for me cuz I have an Xbox anyway :D
