Adding a "2D Option" to a 3D fighting game would be like adding a "Football Option" to a basketball game. Maybe it could be done, theoretically, but since 2D and 3D fighters have so completely different mechanics and "rules", something like this hardly sounds feasible. I personally enjoy 2D fighters, and would love to see a new 2D Mortal Kombat with good in-depth gameplay and excellent graphics, but MK6 isn't really the place. I guess it's an interesting idea, but should something like this ever be implemented in a 3D fighter, I can't imagine the results being anything other than a half-assed mess that won't really please or impress anyone.

its proly not going to happen because midway arent doing anything more in 2d with mk

I wish they would make MK6 and then seperatly make a 2d game like MKT

I think Rayrokka said in his thread on the MKDA forum that 2D is old and MK is not going back but forward. Sorry to disapoint you guys.

I definetly want MK6 to be 3d (so long as it is good 3d not MK4 3d-jk). But the franchise could split and have maybe more adventure games... I don't know.
