Coin cheat on PS2 PAL version

Has anyone got that coin cheat to work on their PS2 PAL game?

The instructions say ........

1. Choose a Vs. Game and load a profile for each fighter,
2. Wager one round normally with R2
3. After first fight have ONLY P1 open the wager tag,
4. Have P1 press R, you will hear a koin sound,
5. Then press U, now you will hear koins being bet,
6. The sound will stop so then press R2 again to exit the wager,
7. Now both players choose a character,
8. Have P1 beat P2, P1 will win the koins, but P2 will NOT lost anything.

.... I get to point 3 and then when I press right, I dont get the coin sound, it just moves my selection box over to the right. Then when I press up, nothing happens and no coins are bet.

I've tried several times now but with no success.

Has anyone got the cheat to work on their PS2?

Don't forget you need two profiles with koins to wager.

Ive got the PAL version too and it seems that Midway has "fixed" this bug. So no cheats for europeans! Sorry!

To tell u the truth its much more fun to have the koins by beating the game and in konquest!!

Yep you're right (actually, the best way is to player through arcade mode I reckon)

I was only using it to get platinum and onyx koins as you can only get them by doing "test your sight" and "test your might" which are few and far between!

Ah well, looks like I'll just have to do it the hard way!!!

That is not the lick, at all. For the past month I have been trying to do it, thinking it was me who could not do a simple cheat. It's sad because there is no way I will be able to see everything hidden in the game, I have no time nowadays to even playing thoughtless of finishing it. sad
