Concerning Judo and some other styles
I loved Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, tons of fun. However one thing happened when I came across some of the styles was how inaccurate some of them were. Jujutsu and Judo are both more known for their throws and ground moves and striking in judo is no longer taught. So why was jax punching and kicking. Next Hapkiido is also more of a joint lock kind of style, didnt see much of that either. Overall I think it would be a lot cooler to see a character like jax or rayden throwing some guy with the more devastating judo throws than watch them simply punch and kick. Overall this was the biggest problem I had with the whole game, the major inaccuracies with the fighting styles.
Next as far as power in the fighting styles went. This I also kinda scratched my head when I saw how much things like taekwondo and such were powerful yet other arts which in real life have proven themselves better seem so weak.
Sorry just had to get that out.

I found that as well.
I did Judo for a number of years and wasn't expecting to see any punches/kicks! I wanted to do sasae tsurikomi ashi, tai otoshi & seoi nagi on a few characters like the old days in my real world...

yes agreed. Some of the throws from judo look spectacular, and some of the submission moves are great looking. I also kinda think Jax was a bad choice for judo simply because he kinda emphasizes brute strength in my oppinion. Someone like kenshi or cage, I think it would fit better with them.

Yes, I understand what you mean and I agree with you. Btw, Hapkido is not just about joint-locks. It also has moves from Tae Kyon such as punches and kicks.
